Delhi Police has arrested a person near the Red Fort, who used to cheat people in the name of providing them jobs. This person has come from Kashmir and a fake ID card of NIA has also been found from him. That is, he used to cheat unemployed people by pretending to be an NIA officer.

Police investigation revealed that the accused used to deceive people by pretending to be an NIA officer and extort huge amounts of money from them. A fake ID card has also been found from him, by showing which he used to assure people that he was posted in a big agency.

Police found two people sitting in the car

Actually, on 18 February 2026, the police team of Kotwali police station was patrolling the area. Meanwhile, a black Hyundai Santro car (number JK01L9913) was seen parked in a suspicious condition near Delhi Chalo Park behind the Red Fort. When the police searched the car, they found two people sitting in it.

Showed fake card to police

One of these two people was identified as Mudassar, a resident of Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, while the other was a minor boy. During interrogation, Mudassar showed an identity card claiming himself to be an officer associated with NIA, but the card itself looked suspicious. The police brought both of them to the police station and started intensive interrogation.

Investigation revealed that the accused is a resident of Jammu and Kashmir and used to take money from economically weaker families by luring them with jobs. He used to say that he has access to the top in Delhi and he can get a government or private job.

The accused was cheating a minor sitting in the car

According to the police, the accused had assured the family of the minor boy that he would get a good job in Delhi. In return he also took advance money.

The accused had brought the minor from Kashmir

Police investigation revealed that the accused left Kashmir on 12th February with the minor boy and reached Delhi on the night of 13th February. Both people stayed in a guest house in Jama Masjid area. The accused claimed that he had contacted some people in Delhi, but he could not show any concrete evidence or documents.

Considering the sensitivity of the matter, joint inquiry was conducted with the Special Cell, Intelligence Bureau and the concerned central agency. During the joint interrogation, it became clear that the accused was posing as an officer by making fake ID cards and was cheating the common people.

Case registered under fraud sections

It also became clear that the NIA card he was showing was not any such identity card issued by the agency. Police have registered a case under sections of fraud.

At present, the interrogation of the accused is going on and the police is also investigating how many people he has cheated in this way so far and is there anyone else involved with him?

The news of finding three dead bodies inside a car on Delhi’s Peeragarhi flyover shocked the police more than the families of the deceased. Family members say that while leaving the house, deceased Randhir was completely normal and happy, there was no problem or tension of any kind. The family members cannot believe that the people whom they sent away from home with a smile would be found dead like this after a few hours.

The family had no fear of any untoward incident.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, the relatives of the deceased were shocked. Savita, a family member of one of the deceased, said, “Whatever happened, happened outside. When he left the house, he was happy. He usually leaves only for work. Otherwise, he stays at home the whole day. He also took all the calls openly, never did anything secretly.”

The secret was revealed due to the arrival of the police in the evening

Randhir’s family member Harish said, “The police came to his house around 5 in the evening. That’s when we came to know about the incident. We don’t know which two people were found with him. He didn’t seem distressed at all.” Harish says that the family had no idea with whom Randhir had gone.

Family surprised at news of suicide

Another family member Sarwar also raised questions on the possibility of suicide. He said, “He met me in the morning and said he was going somewhere for work. He was with Naresh. We don’t know who was the third person with them. He was not the kind of person who would commit suicide. If he had any enmity, we would have known about it.”

Police engaged in investigation

At present, the police is waiting for the post mortem report and is trying to find out the circumstances under which the three died. After the statements of the family members, the matter has become even more mysterious. Police say that the real cause of death will become clear only after the investigation is completed.

The four-day winter session of Delhi Assembly is starting from Monday, January 5. There is likely to be a heated debate on pollution and the three CAG reports presented by the government. Apart from discussing the root causes of the air pollution problem and assessing past measures, the Rekha Gupta government will present three CAG reports.

These CAG reports will be on the renovated bungalow of Arvind Kejriwal when he was the Chief Minister, on the functioning of Delhi Jal Board and on the universities run by the Delhi government during the rule of Aam Aadmi Party. Last year, during the assembly election campaign, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had named the bungalow ‘Sheeshmahal’.

The issue of hanging house will be raised in Delhi winter session

The issue of authenticity of the ‘hanging house’ is likely to arise again in the House as the Business Advisory Committee of the Delhi Assembly will present a proposal on it. During the monsoon session, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had told the House that the structure, which was renovated and inaugurated as a ‘hanging house’ by then Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in 2022, was actually a ‘tiffin room’ as per records.

The session will start from 11.00 am

Showing a 1912 map of the Assembly complex, he had said that there was no document or evidence to show that the place was used for hanging. The session will begin on Monday at 11.00 am with the address of the Lieutenant Governor.

Delhi Assembly session will be a reflection of legislative conduct

Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta said in a statement, ‘The winter session of the Delhi Assembly will reflect the principles of orderly deliberations, transparency and responsible legislative conduct.’ He reviewed the preparations for the session with senior officials of Delhi Assembly Secretariat and Public Works Department, responsible for the smooth functioning of the House.
