Toyota Fortuner has been a very popular full-size SUV in India. Since its launch in 2009, it has remained a constant favorite of people. Now the company is preparing to launch its new generation, which can once again create a stir in the market. The new Fortuner will be based on the recently launched new generation Toyota Hilux. This means that new technology, better design and more features can be seen in it.

When can it be launched?

Toyota has not yet officially announced its launch date. But this SUV has been seen several times during testing, which makes it clear that the company is working rapidly on it. Auto experts believe that the new Fortuner can be launched in the Indian market by Diwali of 2026. If this happens, it will be one of the biggest launches of the year.

What changes will be seen in the design?

The design of the new Fortuner may be more modern and powerful than before. According to the glimpse revealed during testing, eyebrow shaped LED DRLs will be seen in it. A big grill and a new bumper will be provided on its front, which will give it a more muscular look. Apart from this, split LED headlamp setup can also be found in it, which is in trend nowadays. The front part of the SUV will be slightly higher and the rear design may also be different and more stylish than before. New tail lamps will also further improve its looks.

Features will be more advanced

Major changes can be seen in the interior of the new Fortuner. It can be provided with a 12.3-inch large touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Apart from this, it is expected to get features like Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS), which will make driving even safer. The company can also provide the facility of OTA (Over The Air) update, so that the vehicle’s software can be updated without going to the service center.

What will be new in the engine?

Not much change is expected in terms of engine. It is believed that the new Fortuner will be provided with the same engine as the current model. It will have a 2.8 liter diesel engine, which comes with both manual and automatic gearbox. Apart from this, the option of 2.7 liter petrol engine can also be available, which comes with automatic gearbox. However, hybrid or new engine options may also be seen in the future.
