Toyota land cruiser prado j250 features: For the first time in India, the sale of the diesel variants of Toyota Land Cruiser Prado J250 has started. This information has come out from the auto market in Kerala, where this luxury off-road SUV has been made available to select customers.

Actually, the Prado J250 model was launched globally in August 2023. Some of its units have already reached India, such as Prado’s four SUVs were seen in Punjab in February 2025. This model has been positioned below Land Cruiser LC300 and is being imported as CBU (Complete Built Unit) in India.

Features and engine specification

The design of this SUV is boxy, off-road-centric and practical, inspired by the old J60 model. The Prado J250 is built on the GA-F platform, and its frame rigidity has been improved up to 50%. It has a 2.8-liter diesel engine (1GD-FTV), which generates about 201 BHP power and 500 Nm of torque. It also provides 48V mild hybrid system and 8-speed automatic gearbox. Apart from this, this SUV petrol is also available in petrol hybrid and mild hybrid diesel options in the international market.

When will it be launched in India

Spotting this SUV in Kerala indicates that some of the imparted units of Prado J250 have already reached India. It is expected that this model can be officially launched in India by the end of 2025, which can be between Rs 1.25 crore to Rs 1.50 crore.
