During the interview, Trump said, “President Xi wants to see an agreement between America and Iran.” He said that Xi offered help, saying, “If I can help in any way, I would like to.” Trump said that China also does not want Iran to have nuclear weapons. Trump also said that General Dan Kane, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told him that the US could completely destroy Iran’s Kharg Island in just “four to five minutes”.

Trump’s claim – China will not provide military help to Iran

Trump described Xi Jinping as a “friendly guy” who is “focused on his job.” He described the military honors ceremony that welcomed him as “amazing” and said, “Even if you go to Hollywood, you will not find such a scene.” He said that his relationship with China has been very successful. He said, “We are doing very well with China. Xi is a brilliant leader. He has been in power for a long time, is very powerful and strong. There is no doubt about it. Our relations are good.

Trump’s big claim on Iran’s military capability

Defending military action against Iran, Trump said it was a much smaller operation than America’s previous wars such as Vietnam and Iraq. He claimed that Iran’s navy is almost destroyed and it no longer has effective air force and air defense capability. “He’s got a little bit of potential,” Trump said.
