There is speculation about a second round of talks to stop the ongoing war between America and Iran. The first meeting was held in Islamabad due to the efforts of Pakistan and Egypt, which remained inconclusive. Meanwhile, America’s Ambassador to India and Trump’s close associate Sergio Gore has given a big statement about India’s role in stopping the war. He has said that America will welcome India’s participation for peace in the Middle East.

Sergio Gore said in an interview to NDTV, ‘America will welcome India’s participation as it has done to many other countries. Honestly speaking, this is a question for India. I think the whole world can play a role in the peace process and India is also included in it. However, he further said that India will have to decide what it wants to do.

Trump does not discriminate against anyone: Gore

The US ambassador said that President Donald Trump was not discriminating about who could help end the conflict. He said, ‘The President welcomes all those who want to participate. The President welcomes anyone who wants to be a part of it.

A person close to Trump has said this after returning from Washington. “We have many important issues,” Gore said. Sergio Gore’s words were indicating that announcements between the two countries on trade and bilateral issues could be made within a few days, but he refused to say which topics would be included in these. He said, ‘You may get to see some news in the next few days, but tonight I cannot tell you about it.’

What did Sergio Gore say on PM Modi-Trump conversation?

Describing the conversation that lasted for about 40 minutes between PM Modi and President Trump, he said that before Trump’s visit, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will visit India next month.

Regarding Iran, the US Ambassador said, ‘There is only one reason for the increase in oil and gas prices and that is that someone (Iran) is holding the region hostage. He said, ‘So obviously America wants to open this waterway and hence I think the whole world including India will benefit from this.’

What did Gore say when Islamabad talk failed?

Gore said that Prime Minister Modi and President Trump also discussed the US blockade of Iranian ports. He refused to answer questions related to the possibility of new talks between Iran and America after the failure of talks in Islamabad.

He said, ‘It is not my job to announce any future talks. They discussed the blockade and the importance of reopening it (Strait of Hormuz) as soon as possible. To be honest, the entire region and the world is suffering because of this. He said, ‘Why should a country have the right to switch off lights in any part of the world? This is unjust. This must be stopped and America is determined to ensure this.
