Tariff war: With the policies of US President Donald Trump regarding tariffs, countries around the world are in tension. Many countries are knocking on the White House to avoid Trump’s ‘Reciperochl Tariff’ i.e. ‘Tit’ tariff policy. Trump himself has said this. He has also said that he is ready to negotiate different agreements with these countries.

Trump said on Friday that many countries, including Britain, have contacted the US for escaping reciperook tariffs and new tariffs. But such deals will be considered only when their administration will implement the reciperook tariff on 2 April.

Trump told in a conversation with reporters, ‘They want to deal with. If we get something in lieu of these deals, then it is possible that we accept their proposals. I am definitely ready for this. If we can do something that we get something in return, then it will definitely be done. When asked if such deals could be before April 2, Trump said, ‘No, it will be later.’

What is reciperook tariff?
The Trump administration is implementing the policy of reciperook tariff from 2 April. Under this, the amount of tariffs that the country is imposing on the import of American products, the same tariff will be charged on import of products of that country in America. Since this announcement of Trump, countries around the world have reduced tariffs on many American products to avoid this tariff, including India.

EU’s plan for concession in tariff
The European Union (EU) is preparing the outline of concessions that it will introduce to the Trump administration to avoid America’s reciperook tariff. However, during the meetings in Washington this week, the European Union officials were told by the US officials that the new auto and reciperook tariffs that came into force next week could not be avoided. In response, EU started draft for a possible agreement. This includes reducing the tariffs of the European Union, increasing mutual investment with the US and making some rules and standards easier.
