US President Donald Trump has issued a big order regarding tariffs imposed on many things in the country. Trump signed an executive order on Friday (November 14, 2025), eliminating tariffs imposed on a variety of goods, including beef, coffee and tropical fruits. This step has been taken by Trump in response to the increasing pressure from consumers, who are troubled by the continuously rising prices and inflation.

This decision of Trump has come at a time when in the off-year elections held this month, voters had declared economic concerns as their biggest priority and due to the country’s burning economic issues, Republican candidates have faced a crushing defeat in Virginia and New Jersey.

Tariff removed from more than 200 goods

The government led by President Trump has issued an executive order withdrawing tariffs on more than 200 food products. These include coffee, beef, banana and orange juice. The rising inflation in America and the continuous increase in grocery prices is being considered a major change in Trump’s tariff policy, while on the other hand, Trump still claims that there is no inflation in America.

In April this year, Trump had imposed tariffs on imports from most countries. However, Trump and his administration have long maintained that tariffs do not increase consumer prices, while economic experts are presenting evidence to the contrary.

Rising beef prices in America cause for concern

The rise in beef prices in the US has been of particular concern and Trump has already indicated that he will take effective steps to reduce it. At the same time, tariffs imposed on goods imported from Brazil, the largest exporter of beef, have also been a major reason for the increase in its prices.
