America’s new trade policy has a big impact on India! From 1 August 2025, the US is going to impose a reciprocal tariff of 10% on imports of more than 100 countries. It also includes countries like India, Japan and European Union, which have been given the ultimatum of ‘take it or leave it’. What will be the effect on India? Pressure on textile, pharma, IT, auto and jewelery sector may increase. If there is no Trade Agreement till 9 July, India may have to face this tariff from August. India has given a positive message to the US by reducing tariffs on borbon whiskey, electronics and autos.
