Avintan was kidnapped with his girlfriend
Awintan said that during his captivity by Hamas, he had to starve for a long time and his weight had reduced by 40 percent. The two were separated soon after they were kidnapped.

According to Channel 12 report, Elkana Bohbot, another hostage brought back from Gaza, said that he was kept chained in a tunnel for most of the time in Hamas captivity. He also claimed that he was able to take bath only once during his imprisonment. However, he was aware of some events happening in Israel because Hamas members spoke to him in Hebrew.

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project recorded a historic achievement on 20 September. The work of about 4.9 km long tunnel from Shifata to Ghansoli has been completed.
