Pakistan has given a big blow to China by allegedly signing a big deal with Türkiye for fifth generation fighter jets. According to reports, Islamabad may purchase 65 KAAN stealth fighter jets, which may see a major change in the regional defense equations. A Turkish defense journalist has claimed that an agreement has been signed between the two countries for the purchase of 65 KAAN fifth generation stealth fighter jets. If the deal is officially confirmed, it could prove to be one of the biggest defense deals in Pakistan’s history and the biggest export success for Turkey for its indigenous fighter jet program KAAN.

What is KAAN Fighter Jet Programme?
KAAN, also previously known as the TF-X or MMU program, is Türkiye’s indigenous fifth-generation stealth fighter aircraft. It has been designed for state-of-the-art air superiority missions. It has been installed with low-observable stealth features, advanced avionics system and powerful engines.
