The United Arab Emirates has banned people from Pakistan from entering its country. He has taken this decision due to increasing crime in UAE. Additional Interior Secretary of Pakistan’s Home Ministry, Salman Chaudhary said on Thursday (27 November 2025) that UAE is not issuing visas to Pakistanis.

According to the report of Pakistani newspaper Dawn, Salman Chaudhary made this disclosure during the meeting of the Senate Functional Committee on Human Rights. He said that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have refrained from imposing restrictions on Pakistani passports. He said that if the ban is imposed then it will be difficult to remove it.

Which Pakistanis will UAE give visa to?

Pakistan claims that it has close diplomatic, economic and cultural relations with UAE. The report claims that the UAE is one of Pakistan’s largest trading partners in the Middle East, where a large number of Pakistani expatriates live and work. The official said that currently UAE is issuing visas only to Blue and diplomatic passport holders.

Considering the crime, UAE took the decision

Pakistan Senate Human Rights Committee head Samina Mumtaz Zehri said that people of Pakistan go to UAE and commit crimes, that is why visas are not being given. He said that in recent times very few people have been issued visas after much difficulty.

On the other hand, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Salem M. Salem Al Bawab Al Zaabi met Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb today. UAE visa reforms were discussed in this meeting. CBI and UAE officials worked together
After the issue of red notice, CBI remained in constant touch with UAE officials and Punetha was tracked in collaboration with them. UAE police caught Jagdish Punetha and then CBI coordinated the entire process of bringing him to India. Kafala System: The Kafala system has been central to the labor structure in many Middle Eastern countries for many decades. It has also been criticized globally for promoting exploitation and limiting the freedom of migrant workers. After almost 50 years, Saudi Arabia has officially abolished it, but despite this, traces of this system are still present in many Gulf regions. The Kafala system, which means sponsorship in Arabic, is a system that links the legal status of a foreign worker directly to his employer or Kafeel.
