On Monday (10 November) evening in the country’s capital Delhi, there was a massive explosion in a car parked near the Red Fort metro station. According to initial information, 9 people were killed and more than 20 people were injured in this tragic accident, but in the latest update the number of dead has increased to 12 and the number of injured has reached 25. The incident has raised security concerns in the capital and investigations have been intensified by authorities.

There was chaos everywhere after the car blast

The intensity of the car blast was so high that many vehicles parked nearby were burnt to ashes and there was chaos on the road. According to eyewitnesses, after the blast there were flames all around and injured people were screaming for help. The injured also include Ankush Sharma (28) and Rahul Kaushik (20), who were returning from Gauri Shankar Temple. About 80 percent of Ankush’s body got burnt in the blast and his condition remains critical.

Signs of suicide attack to police

Preliminary investigation by Delhi Police has indicated that the blast could have been a ‘fidayeen’ (suicide) attack. Investigation has revealed that the suspect had planned to carry out this suicide attack immediately after receiving information about the capture of the Faridabad module. According to sources, all the concerned agencies are working on every aspect to find out the motive behind the blast.

High alert in the entire city after the blast

After the blast, Delhi Police has increased security in the entire city. All the railway stations of the capital have been put on high alert. Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP) and dog squads have been deployed at major stations. Employees have been instructed to remain alert, while checking and patrolling of passengers has also been increased.

Big revelation in preliminary investigation

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the blast was caused by a highly explosive substance, due to which many nearby vehicles were destroyed and even the windows of nearby buildings were broken. The forensic team is examining samples of the debris to find out what type of explosive was used in the blast. After this incident, Delhi Police has registered a case under UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act) and Explosives Act.

Sources say that the suspect was probably waiting for some order or signal to carry out the blast. This clearly indicates that the attack was part of a pre-planned and organized terrorist conspiracy.

After the horrific car blast in Delhi on Monday (November 10), security agencies have issued an alert in the capital. In view of this, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has issued an order to close the historic Red Fort to the general public for the next three days.

On Monday, 9 people were killed and more than 20 were injured in the blast near Red Fort metro station, after which this decision has been taken due to security reasons. ASI officials said that during this period, the security arrangements in and around the Red Fort will be completely reviewed. Police, NSG and forensic teams are working continuously to stop any suspicious activity and investigate the evidence.

Home Minister Amit Shah met the injured

Last night, Home Minister Amit Shah and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also reached RML Hospital, where they met the injured. After this, Amit Shah reached the spot and took stock of the situation.

Explosive material was kept in the car

Since the incident, teams of Delhi Police, NSG and NIA are investigating on the spot. It is being told that the explosive material was kept in a car, which is being linked to a person named Tariq of Pulwama.

Delhi Police registered a case under UAPA

Delhi Police has registered a case under UAPA in this matter and the entire area has been sealed. Security agencies are on high alert in Delhi as well as in NCR, Mumbai and UP.

ASI has appealed to the people not to go around the Red Fort complex unnecessarily for the next three days. The monument will be reopened only after the security check is completed.

The explosion near Red Fort metro station in Delhi has shaken the capital. Delhi Police...

The explosion near Red Fort metro station in Delhi has shaken the capital. Delhi Police has intensified the investigation regarding this blast. In the initial investigation, the police have found some important clues which seem to link this entire matter to Jammu and Kashmir.

It is being told that the I20 car in which the blast took place was earlier in the name of a doctor from Pulwama district of Kashmir. Police have started searching for the current owner of this vehicle and people associated with it.

Picture of the suspect surfaced

Delhi Police has received important footage from CCTV cameras installed around the blast site. In the footage, a suspicious person is seen entering the parking area with an I20 car and then coming out after some time.

According to investigators, the suspect was alone at the time of the incident. He waited in the parking lot for about three hours and then took the car out. At that very moment there was an explosion.

The suspect went towards Daryaganj

With the help of the footage, the police is now tracing the route of the suspect. Preliminary investigation has revealed that after the car left, it went in the direction of Daryaganj. The police team is now scanning the CCTV footage of Daryaganj and the route beyond. Overall, recordings have been taken from more than 100 cameras so far. These also include cameras of nearby toll plazas and highways so that the complete movement of the suspect can be traced.

Case registered under UAPA and Explosive Act

The Special Cell of Delhi Police has registered a case in this matter under Sections 16 and 18 of UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act), which are sections related to terrorist activities. Along with this, many sections of Explosive Act and Indian Justice Code (BNS) have also been imposed. This is a clear indication that the police is viewing this blast as a terrorist conspiracy.

Kashmir connection

Investigation has revealed that the vehicle in which the blast took place was sold to a person named Tariq from Pulwama. Now Jammu and Kashmir Police has detained Tariq from Pulwama and his interrogation is going on. The original owner of the vehicle, Dr. Omar Mohammad, who is a resident of South Kashmir, is also being interrogated.

Doctors Adil and Muzammil, who were detained from Faridabad and Saharanpur, are also being interrogated. The police is trying to find out from them whether they have any direct or indirect connection with the blast.

Forensic team investigation at the spot

After the blast, the forensic team has collected samples of explosive material from the spot. Investigating agencies are trying to find out what type of explosive was used in the blast. At present, preliminary investigation has indicated that the explosion was of low intensity but was carried out in a planned manner.
