Iran is firing missiles at UAE, UAE shares video of shooting down drone

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) intercepted 16 ballistic missiles and 113 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) on Sunday (8 March). The air defense system detected a total of 17 ballistic missiles and destroyed 16 of them while one fell into the sea. Apart from this, 113 UAVs were also intercepted.

A 40-second black and white video released by the UAE Defense Ministry shows air defense systems intercepting and destroying an Iranian UAV. Since the beginning of Iran’s attacks, 238 ballistic missiles have been detected and destroyed, 221 while 15 fell in the sea and 2 fell within the country. A total of 1,422 Iranian drones (UAVs) have been detected, of which 1,342 were intercepted while 80 fell within the country’s territory.

How many people died, how many injured
The Defense Ministry said that 8 cruise missiles were also detected and destroyed. Four Pakistani, Nepali and Bangladeshi citizens were killed in these attacks. A total of 112 people were slightly injured. The injured include citizens of UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros and Turkey.

What UAE officials said
Meanwhile, UAE authorities have issued a warning that strict action will be taken against those recording video of incident sites, restricted areas or airport interiors without permission. To ensure their safety and avoid legal action, the Embassy has advised all Indian citizens to strictly follow the guidelines.

Ukraine suddenly launched a drone attack on Tuapse Port located in the Black Sea region of Russia on Sunday night (2 November 2025). After the loud explosion, fire spread throughout the port area. According to Russian media reports, the country’s air defense units destroyed 164 Ukrainian drones in flight. However, this claim has not been independently confirmed at the international level. A fire broke out in the Rosneft oil refinery located there due to drone debris falling on Tuapse port. This is the same place which was targeted by Ukrainian drones earlier also. The local administration said that efforts to extinguish the fire are ongoing and relief teams are continuously working on the spot. According to initial reports, no casualties have been reported, but the economic loss is huge.

Ukraine’s new strategy puts pressure on Russia

Analysts believe that Ukraine no longer wants to be limited to just its defense. It is trying to weaken Russia’s combat capability by targeting its strategic and energy infrastructure. There have been several attacks on Russia’s pipelines, fuel depots and electricity grid in recent months, which has deeply affected its logistics system.

Officials in the Krasnodar region said that some houses were damaged by falling drone fragments in a village called Sosnovy near Tuapse. People were evacuated safely in time, so there were no casualties. The administration has surrounded the entire area and started investigation.

Drone ban! New orders issued in Delhi from 2 to 16 August before Independence Day, know full details

The date of August 15 is near, so preparations have started in the capital. In view of Independence Day, Delhi Police has started comprehensive security arrangements in the capital. Police Commissioner SBK Singh has issued new orders.

As per the order, from 2 August to 16 August 2025, flights of drones, para-clider, hot air balloon and other sub-commercial aerial platforms have been completely banned. This decision has been taken to ensure Delhi’s security and prevent possible threats.

Strictness in view of security

This ban has been imposed under Section 163 of the India Civil Protection Code, 2023. According to the police, some anti-social and anti-India elements may misuse these air equipment during Independence Day. This can threaten the safety of general public, important establishments and dignitaries.

Ban on these under order

This order will be applicable from August 2 to August 16, 2025. During this period, no person will be able to do activities like drone, para-motor, microlite aircraft, quadcopter, remote aircraft, hot air balloon or para jumping. Strict action will be taken under Section 223 of the India Justice Code for violating the order.

Order binding for all

Delhi Police has clarified that this order will be applicable to all persons, whether they have been informed personally or not. It will be publicly posted on all the respective offices, such as DCP, ACP, Police Office, Tehsil Office, NDMC, MCD, PWD, DDA and Delhi Cantt Board’s notice boards. With this, the general public will also get complete information about this security step.
