A big update has come out for the candidates preparing for UGC NET exam or entrance exam. National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit card or hall ticket for the entrance exam to be held on 31 December 2025 on its official website. Candidates can download their admit card by visiting the National Testing Agency’s website ugcnet.nta.nic.in and entering their important information like application number and date of birth.

Complete information about UGC NET exam

UGC NET examination will start from 31 December 2025 and will be held till 7 January 2026. Under this examination, candidates become eligible to become Assistant Professor in Indian universities and if a candidate passes this examination with good marks, then the candidate gets Research and Fellowship (JRF), through which he can pursue his PhD and the government also provides scholarship to do research.

This examination of UGC NET will be conducted completely in computer based i.e. CBT mode. It is worth noting that currently the admit card has been issued only for the examination to be held on 31 December 2025, the admit card for the examination to be held on the remaining days will be issued 3 to 4 days before the day of the examination. The pattern of UGC NET entrance exam is divided into two parts. A total of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs) will be asked from the candidates and it is mandatory to answer all the questions. Candidates will be given 3 hours to answer all the questions and the entrance exam will be of 300 marks.

How to download admit card?

• Candidates should visit the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.nic.in to download their admit card.
• Then you will see ‘Latest News’ section on the homepage, inside which you will see the link of ‘Admit Card Download’.
• After clicking on the link, enter your required information, in which your application number and date of birth will have to be entered.
• After you fill your information, press the login button and your admit card will appear in front of you, which you can download.
• If any candidate faces any problem in downloading the admit card or the information is incorrect like name and application number etc., then you can immediately call NTA helpline number 011-40759000 or send an email to ugcnet@nta.ac.in.

UGC Net June 2025 Exam City Slip: UGC NET is big news for the candidates who are preparing for June 2025 exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to release the exam city intensity slip soon. Through this slip, the candidates will get information about which city they have to take the exam. However, this admit card will not be the admit card will be issued later. Candidates can issue city slip through the method mentioned here.

UGC Net June 2025 Exam City Slip: When will the exam be done?

The UGC NET June 2025 exam will be conducted from 25 June to 29 June 2025. This exam will be conducted in two shifts in many cities across the country in computer based (CBT) mode. According to NTA, the exam will be released on the official website about 10 days before the City Slip Examination. While the admit cards will be available 3-4 days before the exam.

First shift: 9 am to 12 noon
Second shift: 3 pm to 6 pm

UGC Net June 2025 Exam City Slip: 85 subjects will be examined

The UGC NET exam is being conducted for a total of 85 subjects this time. This examination is for those students who want to become Assistant Professors in the universities and colleges of the country or get JRF (Junior Research Fellowship).

Earlier the UGC NET exam was taken only for JRF and Assistant Professor Eligibility, but from June 2024 it has been made a big change. Now the score of this exam will also be valid for admission in PhD program. Thousands of students have found a new way of admission to PhD.

UGC Net June 2025 Exam City Slip: How to download City Slip?

1. Candidates should first visit the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
2. After this, click on the link “UGC Net June 2025 Exam City Slip” given on the homepage.
3. Candidates now login by entering their application number and date of birth and password.
4. Now the candidate’s exam will open on the city slip screen.
5. Candidates download it and take out the print.
