Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has changed the rules related to Aadhaar card. The government has made it clear that now Aadhar card will not be accepted as birth certificate or proof of date of birth. In this regard, the planning department has issued instructions to all the departments.

This decision of the UP government has been taken on the basis of the letter issued by the regional office of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on October 31. In this letter it was said that the date of birth recorded in the Aadhar card is approximate, hence the Aadhar card cannot be considered as an authentic document.

Planning Department issued orders

After this letter, Special Secretary, Planning Department, Amit Singh Bansal has issued orders to the Principal Secretaries and Additional Chief Secretaries of all the departments. The Planning Department clarified that as per the guidelines issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India, Aadhaar card is not a presumptive proof of date of birth.

However, Aadhaar card is still being accepted as date of birth by various departments of the state government. You are requested not to accept Aadhar Card as a certificate of date of birth. The government gave strict instructions that from now on Aadhar card should not be used as a certificate of date of birth in any government process.

Estimated date of birth on Aadhar card

Actually, according to UIDAI, birth certificate, school record or any hospital document is not compulsorily taken in the process of making Aadhar card. In such a situation, the date of birth mentioned on it is approximate and cannot be considered as an authentic document.

The planning department said that only birth certificate issued from hospital, high school certificate, records registered by Municipal Corporation, government job, pension, scholarship, license and documents covered under government schemes can be taken as birth certificate.

Ground Report of SIR in UP: BLO left home and family and engaged in SIR duty, working till 3 o’clock in the night, himself told the problems.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on Wednesday (November 26, 2025) has taken a big step regarding the Aadhaar card. UIDAI has deactivated the Aadhar card numbers of more than 2 crore people across the country. However, let us also tell you that UIDAI has deactivated the Aadhaar numbers of those people who are no longer in this world i.e. those who have died.

Actually, the authority has taken this big step as part of the campaign being run across the country to continuously update the Aadhaar database and to prevent any kind of misuse of Aadhaar numbers of dead people. UIDAI has undertaken this important task based on information received from sources such as Data Registrar General of India (RGI), States and Union Territories, Public Distribution System (PDS), National Social Assistance Program (NSAP). Apart from this, UIDAI is also working towards collaborating with banks and other financial institutions to get the information of the deceased people.

At the same time, the authority also said that UIDAI has started a new facility on My Aadhaar portal with the beginning of this year, through which family members themselves can give information regarding any of their deceased relatives. This step will prove helpful in updating the Aadhaar database completely and quickly. However, this facility is currently available in 25 states and union territories of the country that use the Civil Registration System (CRS). Apart from this, the process of connecting the remaining states and union territories to this portal is going on.

Why was this step taken?,

UIDAI said that the Aadhaar number of any person is not re-issued in the name of any other person. However, it is very important to deactivate the Aadhaar number after the death of any person, so that any kind of fraud using the identity of the concerned person or misuse of that Aadhaar number for benefiting any public welfare schemes can be prevented.

UIDAI What did he request the countrymen?,

UIDAI has requested people across the country to obtain the death certificate after the death of a family member and inform it on the myAadhaar portal, so that the records can be updated and any kind of misuse can be prevented.

Blue Aadhaar Card: Aadhaar card is the most used identity related document in the country. Generally people have seen white colored base. Which is printed on paper and used in plastic lamination. But recently another type of Aadhaar is in discussion. Which people call blue base.

Hearing the name, many people think that it is a different kind of facility or some extra identity is registered in it. So let’s talk, it is not like that. The blue base is actually made for a different category. Let us tell you for whom blue Aadhar card is made? And how different is this Aadhar card from the white Aadhar card.

How is Blue Aadhaar different from White Aadhaar Card?

At present two types of Aadhar cards are issued in India. The blue base is visually different from the white base. While the white base comes in a standard format, the blue base is specially designed for children. It is light blue in color and is officially called Aadhaar as Baal Aadhaar by UIDAI. Its big difference is that it does not include biometric information.

Also read: 21st installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi will not come to the account of these people on November 19, check your status like this

Because fingerprints and iris scans of small children change constantly and do not remain stable. The white base contains biometrics. But in Blue Aadhaar, only information like photo, date of birth and parents’ Aadhaar number is recorded. Apart from this, Baal Aadhaar is made for children below five years of age. As soon as the child turns five years old, it becomes necessary to get the biometric updated again by UIDAI.

Which people constitute Blue Aadhaar?

The blue base is made for children under five years of age. The process of making it is easy. For this, it is necessary for one of the parents to have Aadhaar. During the application, the birth certificate of the child is asked. The photo of the child is captured there and the rest of the information is given by the parents. Because it does not include biometrics. Therefore the process is completed quickly.

Also read: If this work is not done then PAN card will be closed, you will not be able to do this work

This base helps in many things in future. Like school admission, registration in government schemes. When the child turns five years old, the biometric is updated and it is changed to the normal basis. Biometrics have to be updated for the second time at the age of ten years. In this way, Blue Aadhaar works as the initial identity card of children and later on it gets converted into normal Aadhaar.

Also read: Inverter battery will not deteriorate quickly, these smart tips will increase its life.

Many people still think that mAadhaar and e-Aadhaar are the same app… but it is not so at all! After the launch of UIDAI’s new e-Aadhaar app, confusion among people has increased even more. For this reason, in this video we will tell you in very simple language what is the difference between mAadhaar and e-Aadhaar, what is the function of which app and which one should you use when. First of all let’s talk about mAadhaar app. This was the first official mobile app of UIDAI, which can be called your Aadhaar Manager in a way. With this app, you can download PDF of your Aadhaar, create Virtual ID (VID), lock/unlock Aadhaar, update your details and manage many basic services related to Aadhaar. That means mAadhaar = to manage Aadhaar. Now let’s talk about the new e-Aadhaar app, which has been created by UIDAI for paperless, smart and highly secure digital identity. This app offers modern features like Face Authentication, QR Code Authentication and adding 5 Aadhaar Profiles from the same mobile number. That means to use e-Aadhaar = Aadhaar Identity. UIDAI has clearly stated that e-Aadhaar has not replaced mAadhaar—both have different roles and together make Aadhaar services more modern and secure.

Aadhaar Card New Rules: Aadhar card is now required for almost every important work in the country. It is needed right from taking admission in school or college to availing the benefits of any government scheme. It has become the most important document as proof of identity and address.

Sometimes the information entered in Aadhaar like name, address, mobile number or biometric details may have to be changed. In such a situation, changes are being made in the updated rules by UIDAI from November 1, 2025. Now those who update Aadhaar will have to pay charges as per the new rate. Let us tell you how much will be charged for which update.

Higher fees will have to be paid from November 1

According to the new rules of UIDAI, from November 1, you will have to pay Rs 75 for updating name, address or mobile number in Aadhar card. If you want to update fingerprint, iris or photo. So its charge will be Rs 125. Whereas biometric update will be completely free for children of 5 to 7 years and 15 to 17 years. The facility of online document update is currently free till June 14, 2026.

Also read: Do not make this mistake even by mistake, the 21st installment of PM Kisan Yojana will get stuck.

But after that a charge of Rs 75 will have to be paid at the center for this service. Rs 40 for reprinting Aadhaar card and Rs 700 for the first person for home enrollment service. Whereas for every extra person at the same address, Rs 350 will have to be paid. So if you want to make any changes. So it would be better to complete it online in time.

In today’s digital age, Aadhaar card is not just an identity card but has become an essential document for opening bank account, government subsidy, mobile SIM and many government services. But till now, to make any change or update in it, people had to visit the Aadhaar Seva Center or bank. However, now this problem is about to end. UIDAI is soon going to launch a new mobile app e-Aadhaar. With which you will be able to update Aadhar card details from your smartphone itself. In such a situation, let us now tell you why you will no longer have to find the address of the center for Aadhaar update and how your work will be done while sitting at home.

What is e-Aadhaar app?

Unique Identification Authority of India is working on this new e-Aadhaar app, which will be available on both Android and iOS platforms. Through this app, users will be able to easily update information like name, date of birth, address or mobile number in their Aadhaar while sitting at home. According to reports, this app can be launched by the end of 2025. At present, UIDAI’s M-Aadhaar app is available, in which users can save only their Aadhaar data. But in the new e-Aadhaar app, users will be able to update their Aadhaar details directly. After this, citizens will no longer need to go to the Aadhaar center for small updates.

The app will be equipped with AI and face recognition

The e-Aadhaar app will be equipped with Artificial Intelligence and facial recognition technology. This will reduce the cases of identity theft and fraud and the process like updating will also become secure. Apart from this, the app will automatically page the necessary details from the user’s government documents like PAN card, passport, driving license or ration card.

How will Aadhaar be updated?

step 1. To update Aadhaar, first of all you have to download e-Aadhaar app on your mobile.
Step 2. After this, you will have to click on the Update Aadhaar option and enter the Aadhaar number or virtual ID.
Step 3. Now OTP will come on your registered mobile number, by entering which you will have to login.
Step 4Now you have to select the information you want to update and upload the documents related to it.
Step 5. After submission, UIDAI will verify your document.
Step 6. After this, within 3 to 5 days your details will be updated with Aadhaar and you will get this information through SMS or email.
