Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky’s first reaction has come to light on Saturday (August 16, 2025) after the meeting of President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, USA. Reacting to Trump-Putin’s Alaska Summit, Ukrainian President Jailonsci announced that he will visit the US capital Washington on Monday (August 18, 2025), where he will meet President Donald Trump and discuss the end of the Ukraine war.

Jailonsky announced the announcement after a telephone interaction with US President Trump. During the conversation, President Trump informed Jelonski about the main points of the talks held on Friday (August 15, 2025) with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

It is noteworthy that US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin Ukraine had a long conversation with each other at the summit held in Alaska to end up to three hours at the summit held in Alaska.

Jailonsky posts on social media

Ukrainian President Volodimir Jailonsky posted a post on the social media platform X on Saturday (16 August). In the post, Jailonsky said, “I will meet President Trump at Washington DC on Monday (August 18) and will discuss all the main points related to these murders and war. I am grateful for this invitation.”

According to Jailonsky, Trump had a very long and meaningful conversation between him, which initially took place only between him and Trump and later in this conversation many Europe leaders also joined him.

No major announcement made after Trump and Putin’s meeting

The meeting of Trump and Jailonsky at Washington DC will be held three days after the talks of US President and Vladimir Putin in Alaska. However, this dialogue of Trump and Putin ended without any clear success in the direction of declaration of a ceasefire or ending the attack for more than three years of Mosci. At the same time, the press secretary of the White House Caroline Lewitt said that President Trump had a long conversation with Jailnsky while returning to Washington from Alaska.
