BJP leader Uma Bharti answered the question related to Operation Sindoor in an interview to ANI on Friday (29 August 2025). He was asked whether the purpose of Operation Sindoor was fulfilled? On this, the BJP leader said, ‘Our final goal is to recover POK. Our aim will be fulfilled as soon as the POK is withdrawn.

Uma Bharti further said, ‘I do not want to answer those who are questioning the valor of the Indian armed forces. They do not know how to respect the Indian armed forces. They are not even capable of doing politics. Terrorism will one day end Pakistan. Pok should be an integral part of the country. He emphasized that India is constantly fighting Pakistan -sponsored terrorism and will end it.

When Pakistan is devastated, its wisdom will come: Uma Bharti

Uma Bharti said that the solution to this entire issue of Pakistan sponsored terrorism is natural justice, when Pakistan is destroyed due to terrorism, then it will come to its wisdom. Uma Bharti also mentioned the unanimous resolution passed by Parliament in 1994, in which Pakistan -occupied Kashmir was declared an integral part of India.

Pahalgam terror attack took place on 22 April

26 people were killed in the terrorist attack on 22 April in Pahalgam. In response, the Indian Army started Operation Sindoor on 7 May. Indian armed forces targeted terrorist structures in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir, killing more than 100 terrorists. India then thwarted Pakistan’s invasion and bombed its air locations. India has said that the operation vermilion is not over yet and any adventure of Pakistan will be given a befitting reply.

Answer on Malegaon blast case

Responding to questions asked by the NIA court about the acquittal of all the accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, Uma Bharti said that there was a conspiracy to defame Hindus and do politics of appeasement. Uma Bharti said, “The people involved in this conspiracy did not care about the reputation of the country. He only cares about power.” He said that Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Srikanth Purohit, Sadhvi Pragya Singh and others were targeted. Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Shrikant Purohit was greatly harassed.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) fiery and famous leader Uma Bharti openly expressed her opinion on many issues in Bhopal. On the statement of Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat’s ‘retirement from politics after the age of 75’, he said that this statement is being misinterpreted. He clarified that politics is a profession in which there is no retirement.

Uma Bharti said, “There are many professions in the society in which serving till the last breath, such as doctors, writers, poets, teachers, journalists and politicians. There is no age of activeness in politics. Mohan Bhagwat’s statement may be probably about the post or chair, but the activity does not see age.”

Long innings intent in politics

When he was asked about his political future, Uma Bharti replied bluntly- “I will do 15 to 20 years more politics. And if I feel like I will contest elections.”

Accused of harassment in every round

Recalling her old days, Uma Bharti claimed that she and her family were tortured in every government era. Without naming any party, he questioned both BJP and Congress. He said, “Between 1990 and 1992, I had to face harassment from the government machinery. My name was dragged at the time of Vyapam scam in 2013. Mentally a lot of torture was given.”

He also questioned the functioning of the investigating agencies and said that the CBI should make it clear why their name was linked to the Vyapam scam. He also asked that the real culprits were not saved under the guise of his name?

Distance from family, focus on social issues

Uma Bharti also announced that she is now completely separating from her family and will continue to struggle on issues like Ganga purification, cow-protection and prohibition. He described these issues as his priority.

Governments advise to take concrete steps

On the issue of Ganga cleaning and cow protection, he said that the central and Madhya Pradesh governments are making efforts, but now more solid and strict steps are needed. On prohibition, he also said that the government should show hardness in this direction.

Praising Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Uma Bharti said, “He is a well-educated and good administrator, doing good work.” At the same time, remembering the era of former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, he said, “There was talk of fighting at that time, but many times there was an atmosphere like ‘Save, Save’. I also got sympathy.”
