Umran Malik made his debut for Team India in the year 2022. Actually, IPL contributed to him in getting him a place in the Indian team. It was the IPL 2022 season when Umran took 22 wickets in 14 matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The same year he got his debut in Team India.

Umran Malik is out of IPL 2025

Umran Malik was dropped from the IPL 2025 tournament due to injury. Despite this, he was traveling with the Kolkata Knight Riders team under the ‘Return to Cricket’ program. Umran could not play a single match this season until he was out of the tournament. He has so far taken 29 wickets in his IPL career by playing 26 matches.

There have been a total of 58 matches in IPL 2025 so far, there are 12 matches left in the league stage, after which the playoff phase is to begin.
