In fact, HDFC Bank has announced a maintenance, due to which its UPI will be temporarily closed on two dates in July 2025. How long will UPI service remain closed

The duration of HDFC Bank’s maintenance has been fixed from July 3, 2025 to July 4, 2025. The necessary system maintenance will start on July 3 at 11:45 pm and will run till 1:15 am on July 4, 2025. This downtime will be 90 minutes and customers will not be able to do UPI transactions during this time.

All these apps will be affected

During these downtime, customers will not be able to do any UPI transactions through many platforms including HDFC Bank’s mobile banking app, Google Pay, WhatsApp Pay, Paytm and HDFC Bank account. This affects both financial and non-financial transactions for HDFC Bank’s current and savings account as well as Rupay credit card users.

Merchants using HDFC Bank’s UPI service will also experience a complete interruption in processing UPI transactions during the maintenance period. The bank has also asked the users to use Payzapp wallet for all their transactions during downtime.

If users have more than one bank account, then they should link to UPI profile, which gives them more convenience. If a bank is temporarily unavailable then you can use another bank to complete the transaction. Before sending money to anyone, one should always check the UPI ID or mobile number of the receiver. Due to a small mistake, the transaction can be canceled or money can be sent to the wrong person.
