He completed his schooling from Bhopal and Panchkula, since his school days his aim was to do something big. His dedication towards studies always inspired him to move forward.

Studied from Delhi University

After school, Aastha moved to Delhi for higher education. He obtained his graduation degree in Economics (Hons) from the country’s prestigious college, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), which is a part of Delhi University. During his college days, he had decided to join the civil services, along with his studies, he also started preparing for UPSC.

Preparation without coaching

The most important thing about Aastha’s success is that she prepared for UPSC without any coaching, she made her own strategy and selected the right sources. He first strengthened his foundation with NCERT books, then took the help of M. Laxmikant’s book to prepare for Political Science. He paid special attention to General Studies and prepared from limited but reliable books. In an interview, he told that he did not even have a full year for his first attempt, so he did not join the foundation course. She believed that by working hard in the right direction, she could complete the syllabus even in less time.

Success in PCS in first attempt

Before UPSC, Aastha also appeared for the Haryana Public Service Commission examination. In the year 2024, he secured 31st rank in the HCS examination conducted by Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC), he was selected as Assistant Excise and Taxation Officer (AETO) in the Government of Haryana. Even while working on this post, he continued his preparation for UPSC. It was not easy to juggle job and studies, but he made good use of his time.

Excellent performance in UPSC

Aastha performed brilliantly in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024. In which he secured 795 marks in written examination, 200 marks in interview and total marks were 995. With this excellent performance he achieved AIR 61, based on this rank there is every possibility of his selection in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
