The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has amended its Commercial Company Law, under which companies established in the country will be officially given citizenship status. This does not mean that the owners or investors of the company will become UAE citizens, but under the law the company will be recognized as a UAE company.

According to Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Finance and Tourism, this new provision applies to businesses established anywhere in the country, including both mainland and free-zone companies. This means that now companies located in financial free-zones will also get full UAE corporate recognition. Officials say that just as businesses registered in Germany are considered German companies, firms in the UAE will be recognized as Emirati companies under this law.

UAE Corporate Citizenship Law 2026

This law does not grant individual UAE citizenship to owners or shareholders of a company. Finance Minister Abdullah clarified that there is a separate law for UAE citizenship. It can be understood in this way that if you open a company in London, it is a British company. The new law in UAE recognizes that wherever a company is established in the country, it will be recognized globally as a UAE company. This will give a different identity to UAE. Every goods exported from there will have UAE brand label.

Who does this apply to?

Officials stressed that corporate citizenship law refers to the legal status of a company, not the individual citizenship of individuals. This clarification came from the UAE when the question arose whether foreign company owners can obtain UAE citizenship under this provision.

Once again the agencies have achieved great success in catching fugitive criminals who have fled the country and fled abroad. Taking major action, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has succeeded in bringing back fugitive Jagdish Punetha, who was hiding in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to India. Punetha was caught and brought back to India on Thursday (November 13, 2025) with the help of Interpol channels and UAE officials.

Let us tell you that Uttarakhand Police had registered a case of fraud and criminal conspiracy against Jagdish Punetha in Pithoragarh police station in 2021. After the case was registered, the accused Punetha had fled to UAE. On the request of Uttarakhand Police, the Central Investigation Agency had issued a red notice from Interpol on 6 May 2025.
CBI and UAE officials worked together
After the issue of red notice, CBI remained in constant touch with UAE officials and Punetha was tracked in collaboration with them. UAE police caught Jagdish Punetha and then CBI coordinated the entire process of bringing him to India. Let us tell you that a team of Uttarakhand Police also went to UAE and reached Delhi with him on 13 November.

What is red notice and how does it work?
Red Notice is an international alert of Interpol, which is sent to police agencies around the world. This notice helps a lot in catching criminals hiding in any country. In India, CBI is the national agency of Interpol and sends information related to Interpol to agencies across the country through the BHARATPOL system. With the coordination of CBI and Interpol, more than 150 fugitive criminals have been brought back to India in the last few years. In this context, the return of Jagdish Punetha back to India is being considered a big success for the central agency.

Today the United Arab Emirates has become the world’s leading center for both employment and tourism. Its gleaming buildings, modern facilities, tax-free salaries and secure lifestyle attract everyone who is looking for a better future. Many people think that only educated people or those with higher degrees can get a job in UAE, but this is not entirely true. There are many jobs that do not require a college degree. All that is required is willingness to work hard and some experience. This is why UAE jobs without degree has become one of the most searched topics on the internet today.

The driving sector in Dubai and other Emirates is continuously expanding. If one has a valid driving license and can speak some English then one can easily get work as a taxi or private driver. Many companies like Dubai Taxi Corporation or private transport agencies provide good salaries and visa facilities to their employees. Hardworking drivers also get the opportunity to earn additional income in the form of commission.

Demand for cashier and sales staff in retail sector

UAE supermarkets, restaurants and fast food chains are always looking for new employees. People who have studied till 12th and have some understanding of Maths can easily get the job of cashier. Those working here get a fixed salary as well as additional income from tips and overtime payments. Good behavior and honesty with customers is considered the biggest requirement of this job.

Better opportunities in hospitality sector

If a person has experience of working in a hotel or restaurant, then the hospitality sector of UAE can prove to be very profitable for him. Those working as waiters, room service or hotel staff can get jobs in international hotel brands like Hilton and Jumeirah Group. Here, along with salary, there is also additional income like tips and service charge, which increases the total income significantly.

Jobs for those with technical skills

There is no dearth of employment in UAE for those having ITI diploma in electricity, plumbing or other trades. There is continuous construction work going on in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, due to which the demand for electricians and plumbers always remains. In such jobs, the salary is higher depending on the experience and efficiency, and many companies also provide accommodation facilities.

Stable employment at fuel station

For candidates who are looking for permanent and simple work, the job of fuel pump attendant is a good option. Big companies like ENOC and ADNOC recruit employees regularly. This work involves refueling customers’ vehicles and taking payments. Training is easy and a work visa guarantees a steady income.

Documents required for job in Dubai

To get a job in UAE, some basic documents are required, such as valid passport, resume prepared in English, passport size photo. If any, certificates of education or experience. Some companies also ask for police clearance certificate. By keeping all these documents fully prepared, the visa process can be completed smoothly.

Kafala System: The Kafala system has been central to the labor structure in many Middle Eastern countries for many decades. It has also been criticized globally for promoting exploitation and limiting the freedom of migrant workers. After almost 50 years, Saudi Arabia has officially abolished it, but despite this, traces of this system are still present in many Gulf regions. Today we will know what Kafala system is and also in which countries this system is still applicable.

What is Kafala system?

The Kafala system, which means sponsorship in Arabic, is a system that links the legal status of a foreign worker directly to his employer or Kafeel. This system was brought into existence in the 1950s when Gulf economies became increasingly dependent on migrant workers. This system not only simplified administration for the governments but also gave a lot of powers to the employers. In this, the movement of workers, employment and even their right to leave the country was also controlled. Workers were often unable to change jobs or return home without their employer’s permission. This was the reason why workers there were abused and exploited.

why was it implemented

The objective behind implementing this was to skill the recruitment process of foreign workers and also to shift the bureaucratic responsibilities from the governments to the employers. Kafeel was expected to handle everything from visa to voice. Kafeel effectively played the role of both protector and controller. But with time it turned into a system that promoted exploitation. This placed restrictions on labor rights and forced workers into working conditions that are now compared to modern slavery.

In which countries this system is still operational

Despite mild reforms, the Kafala system still exists in Qatar. Earlier, workers needed a no objection certificate to change jobs and an exit permit to leave the country. Although many of these restrictions have now been relaxed, steps are being taken slowly towards complete reform. Minimum wage laws and better job mobility have been implemented but implementation is still inconsistent.

Along with this, the residence of a worker in UAE depends on his employer. However, there are gradual changes in labor laws here too, especially in the private sector. Now it is possible to change employer here under certain conditions. Similarly, this system was partially reformed in Bahrain in 2009. In which the purpose was transferred from individual companies to the Labor Market Regulatory Authority. But despite this step, this system did not end completely and many employers still have a lot of power over workers’ job changes and place of residence.

Even in Kuwait, employers still have complete control over workers changing jobs and leaving the country. Leaving the job without notice may result in arrest or departure. Although a domestic workers law was passed in 2015, its enforcement remained limited. Same is the situation with Oman also. Although Oman claims to have officially abolished this practice, in practice many employers continue to enforce the same restrictions.

Also read: How many countries in the world make submarine engines, where does India come in this work?

Former Union Minister of India and Congress MP Dr. Shashi Tharoor recently visited the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi. During this, he praised the style of the temple a lot. Not only this, the Congress MP also praised the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the establishment of the temple.

After visiting the Hindu temple, Shashi Tharoor said that Prime Minister Modi’s cooperation with the UAE government has helped in realizing the dream of a Hindu place of worship, fulfilling the aspirations of many Hindus in the region. Shashi Tharoor shared his views with temple chief Swami Brahma Vihari Das in a video posted on his X handle.

Tharoor praised the style of BAPS temple

In the video, Shashi Tharoor told that this architectural marvel, located in the desert, 90 miles from Dubai and 60 miles from the capital of UAE, has left an indelible impression on Tharoor. Tharoor praised the intricate design of the temple, which includes insulated tiles that keep visitors’ feet cool in the 50-degree heat. The hand-carved sandstone carvings and elaborate sculptures, representing seven major deities along with separate shrines, demonstrate meticulous craftsmanship. He marveled at the dust-free pillars of the temple, a feat achieved through thoughtful surrounding structures that protect the complex from desert sand.

15 minute animated digital cinema in the temple

Reflecting on his tenure at the United Nations, Tharoor described the temple as a microcosm of the unity of creation. He praised the foresight of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, whose foresight inspired this project. Along with this, he also praised the role of the UAE government, especially Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed. The temple’s immersive elements, such as its 15-minute animated digital cinema, enthralled Tharoor, who described it as a fairy-tale experience.

A personality like Mirwaiz Azizi has brought fame to Afghanistan, a country with high unemployment and bad business environment. Azizi, who once fled the war-torn country, is now one of the richest people in the UAE. Mirwaiz Azizi is called the Ambani of Afghanistan.

Aziji currently lives in Dubai. According to Afghan sources, he is considered the richest person in Afghanistan and the founder of Azizi Group. Azizi’s journey began in 1988, when he left the country in search of a better life for himself and his family amid the backdrop of the Afghan-Soviet War. By 1989, he founded the Azizi Group as a refugee in Dubai. At that time Afghanistan was engulfed in conflict.

Mirwaiz Azizi first settled in Uzbekistan
According to media reports, Mirwaiz Azizi first settled in Uzbekistan, where he started a textile manufacturing business. He expanded into Bulgaria’s tobacco industry and later into the Russian Commonwealth countries. After relocating to UAE he focused his attention on the oil and gas sector.

Aziji Bank established
Mirwaiz founded the Azizi Bank, which soon became Afghanistan’s largest and strongest commercial financial institution. To further expand its business, Azizi Group acquired Al Bakhtar Bank, one of the fastest growing financial institutions in Afghanistan. In 2007, Mirwaiz founded Azizi Developments. The company began selling off-plan properties in Dubai in 2008, although faced some hurdles due to the global financial crisis.

what is the total assets
According to Devex, the turnover of Azizi Group is Rs 3,400 crore. Mirwaiz started his business with just US$700 (about Rs 58,000), which shows his incredible journey from a refugee to a billionaire.

Today, with a portfolio of US$12 billion and over 200 projects, Mirwaiz is one of the most influential private real estate developers in the UAE. Despite his success, he has remained committed to supporting his country. Apart from creating 5,000 new jobs, they have also contributed to the reconstruction of Afghanistan’s infrastructure.

Saudi Arabia has announced new visa rules for the pilgrims of Umrah 2025. Saudi Arabia officials have now made it mandatory for Umrah pilgrims to arrange for hotel booking and transport before applying for visa. This means that whatever pilgrims will apply for Saudi Arabia’s visa for Umrah, they will first have to share the complete information of their hotel booking and transportation. Only then will he be given a Visa of Saudi Arabia for Umrah 2025.

In fact, Saudi Arabia has announced this new rule so that the movement of pilgrims is better managed and they can be saved from housing fraudulent proposals. In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Umrah operators are already appealing to their passengers to make their booking through Saudi Arabia’s official Nusuf platform or licensed agents before submitting a visa application for Umrah.

Saudi Arabia gave information about visa rules

The Haj and Umrah Ministry and concerned officials of Saudi Arabia have significantly tightened the entry rules for Umrah from this year, so that the approval of the visa, usually depending on the hotel contracts and evidence of the local transport system verified through Nusuk Masar and Nusuk Umrah platform.

This step is part of the widespread attempt to digital and set Umrah services, under which pilgrims coming to Umrah will have to upload or link verified booking before the visa is issued.

Steps taken to save pilgrims from fraud

Saudi officials said that this change protects the pilgrims from fraud and strengthens the crowd and housing management in the time of congestion and busyness.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed a strategic mutual defense agreement on 17 September, under which an attack on either of the two countries would be considered an attack on both. The agreement has created a new stir in regional and global strategic equations including India. Experts believe that this step will strengthen military and political relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, while security challenges for India may also increase.

Saudi Arabia’s ambition and Pakistan’s dependence
According to well-known journalist Brahma Chelani, this agreement is not a symbol of Pakistan’s power, because the country is on the verge of financial crisis, but shows Saudi Arabia’s ambitions. Saudi Arabia wants to strengthen its regional grip using Pakistan’s military and nuclear resources and is also giving a message that it will decide his strategy himself.

Riyadh Knew India would construct the saudi-pakistan mutual defense pact as a directed to its security, Yet it is ahead. The move reflects not Pakistan’s strength – it remains on the brink of bankruptcy – but saudi arabia’s ambitions.

By binding a chronically dependent…

– Dr. Brahma cheellanyy (@chellanyy) September 18, 2025

Political message is hidden behind the decision
Chelani also said that the agreement on Modi’s birthday indicates that Saudi Arabia is carrying forward its political and strategic interests regardless of India’s sensations. India tried to form a strong relationship with Saudi Arabia through growing defense partnership and joint military exercises.

Modi has spent years wooing saudi arabia, upgrading ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership and making repeated visits, including a key trip in April. Yet, on Modi’s Birthday, Crown Prince salman delivered a nasty surprise: a saudi -pakistan mutual defense pact declaring…

– Dr. Brahma cheellanyy (@chellanyy) September 18, 2025

Pakistan gets new support
According to expert Michael Kugelman, Pakistan has entered into this agreement with a colleague who is also an important partner of India. After the agreement, Pakistan has got the support of three major powers like China, Türkiye and now Saudi Arabia. However, he believes that this agreement will not prevent India from attacking Pakistan, but Pakistan’s situation has become stronger.

Pakistan has not only inked a new mutual defense pact, it inked it with a close all that’s also a top partner of India’s. This pact would not deter India from Attacking Pakistan. But with 3 key power-china, turkey & now ksa-fitted on pak’s side, pak is in a very good place.

– Michael kugelman (@Michaelkugelman) September 18, 2025

Regional and global strategic impact
The agreement has created new security and diplomatic landscapes for India, America and other global powers. This makes it clear that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan together can affect the regional power balance and use military and political resources for their interests.

Abraham Accord: The Abraham Agreement, which normalized relations between Israel and many Arab countries, is now in crisis. The agreement was reached in September 2020, in the first term of US President Donald Trump. Under this, many Arab countries including the United Arab Emirates (UAE) normalized relations with Israel.

The UAE has now warned that if Israel occupies the West Bank, it will damage the agreement and the expectations of President Trump may weaken.

Israeli’s plan to capture West Bank

The UAE warning has come at a time when Israel is considering a plan to occupy a large part of Palestine’s West Bank. This is considered to be the answer to the steps of Western countries that recognize Palestinian regions. Only US President Trump can do so that this move can be stopped. The message of UAE is clear that if the US does not stop Israel, then the important efforts of the Trump administration’s foreign policy may face a crisis.

UAE describes West Bank as red line

The UAE has already warned Israel that capturing the West Bank will have to cross the ‘Red Line’. UAE says that this will weaken the spirit of Abraham Agreement. A senior Amirati officer described it as a threat to two state solutions. The Palestinian Authority has welcomed the UAE’s stance, while the Israeli government has not yet made any official comments. In the government of Prime Minister Netanyahu, right -wing Finance Minister Bejelle Smotrich recently proposed to capture about four to five parts of the West Bank.

Since the six -day war of 1967, Israel has settled around 160 settlements in West Bank and Eastern Jerusalem, in which about 7 lakh Jews live. At the same time, 33 lakh Palestinians live in these settlements and surrounding areas. These settlements are considered illegal under international law, and Palestinians want it for an independent nation in the future.
