In this big examination conducted for 4543 posts, a total of 12,333 candidates have been declared successful for the next phase. That means, about 2.7 times more candidates than the number of posts will now be preparing for document verification and physical examinations.

400 marks exam and shocking cutoff

This exam was of total 400 marks. The cutoff released by the board surprised many candidates. The cutoff of unreserved category was the highest, while the cutoff of ST category was recorded the lowest. Different cutoffs have been fixed for male and female candidates.

According to the data, the cutoff for men in unreserved category was 369.87854 and that of women was 360.50336. In OBC category, the number of men was 364.56024 and that of women was 353.76545. In EWS category, 364.41142 men and 353.22001 women were recorded. In SC category, the cutoff for men was 350.91474 and for women was 337.94120, while in ST category, the cutoff for men was 334.65475 and for women was 306.91905.

Demand for transparency raised on social media

As soon as the results were released, many candidates shared their experiences on social media. Someone talked about not getting selected despite their estimated marks, while someone talked about getting selected on low marks. In such a situation, the candidates have raised the demand for issuing individual scorecards, so that the actual marks after normalization can be clear.

Normalization became a topic of discussion

Due to the examination being held in different shifts, the normalization process implemented has now become the center of debate. The candidates want shift-wise data to be made public, so that it can be understood how the marks were balanced in which shift. Apart from this, there is also a demand for clear information regarding how the marks were added on the 20 questions on which the objections were found correct in the final answer key.

Major demands of the candidates

Some major demands have emerged from the candidates after the result: Individual scorecards of all candidates should be released, detailed merit list of 12,333 selected candidates should be released, merit list should include both raw marks and marks after normalization, shift-wise normalization data should be made public and clear details of marks distribution on deleted questions should be given. Candidates say that this will make the entire process more clear.
