With this, 15 battalions of Shakti Baan will initially be inducted into the Indian Army. After this, 11 more battalions of Shakti Baan will be inducted into the army. Apart from this, 34 Divyastra batteries will also be inducted in the Indian Army.

Second phase induction will be done in Rudra Brigade: General Dwivedi

At the same time, he said that we are also going to induct 7 more battalions in Rudra Brigade. The Army Chief said that two battalions of Rudra Brigade are already included in the Indian Army. After this, four more battalions will be commissioned in the second phase.

He said that Indian security forces carried out a 22-minute attack on terrorist hideouts. He said that Operation Sindoor is still going on and any misadventure in future will be responded to strictly. Regarding Operation Sindoor, he said that through 22 minutes of intense action on May 7, 2025 and an 88-hour coordinated campaign that continued till May 10, this operation redefined strategic beliefs. Deep attacks were made on the terrorist structure.

‘Army has kept an eye on the terrorist camp located in Pakistan’

He said, ‘In those 88 hours, you saw that the mobilization of the army to expand the conventional military area was such that if Pakistan made any mistake, we were fully prepared to launch ground action.’ Camps still exist in Pakistani occupied areas adjacent to the Indian border. The Indian Army is keeping an eye on them and will take action if needed.

General Upendra Dwivedi said, ‘As per our knowledge, about 8 camps are still active. Of these, 2 are opposite the international border and 6 are opposite the Line of Control. There is still a presence on these campuses. We are keeping an eye on them, if any action is taken then we will definitely take the action as per our intention.

India has once again given a clear message to China and Pakistan regarding Shaksgam Valley. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi reiterated that the border agreement signed between Pakistan and China in 1963 is completely illegal and invalid for India. He said that Shaksgam Valley is a part of India and India does not recognize any kind of activity there. He clearly said, ‘We do not accept any activity there. This agreement is illegal for us. General Dwivedi said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is also not acceptable for India. He called it an illegal work being done by both the countries and said that this project passes through Indian territory.

The Army Chief said that in future women can also join Infantry and Para-SF, but the society will have to be prepared for this. He clarified that the Army does not talk about gender equality but about gender neutrality. If women meet the standards and medical fitness set by the army, then doors are open for them. Strength increased from 13 Bhairav ​​battalion
