Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has started the next phase under Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) Recruitment 2023. The Commission has announced the date of Hindi Typing Test for the post of Assistant Review Officer and reminder admit cards have also been issued. Through this recruitment drive, eligible candidates will be selected for a total of 411 posts. The candidates who had successfully passed the first stage examination will now be required to appear in the typing test.

According to the schedule released by the Commission, Hindi typing test will be conducted from 16 February 2026 to 19 February 2026. This examination will be completely computer based. The examination will be conducted in two shifts every day. The first shift will run from 9:30 am to 11:30 am while the second shift will run from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Candidates will have to reach the examination center only after seeing their shift time in the admit card.

Rules related to examination center

This typing test will be conducted at Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Aliganj, Lucknow. The Commission has given clear instructions that the gate of the examination center will be opened about 1 hour 30 minutes before the start of the examination. The entry will be closed 45 minutes before the start of the examination. In such a situation, it will be necessary for the candidates to reach the examination center before time, so that they do not have to face any problem.

In the typing test, candidates will have to type in Hindi. The Commission has allowed two fonts for this examination. The first font is Kruti Dev 010, which is considered quite popular for traditional Hindi typing. The second font is Mangal Inscript, which is a Unicode based typing system. Candidates can select any font as per their convenience and preparation. Both fonts will be valid in the examination.

What is necessary to take with you to the exam

It will be mandatory for all the candidates appearing in the examination to carry the print copy of the admit card with them. Apart from this, candidates will also have to carry two passport size photographs and a valid identity card. Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Driving License or other government identity cards will be accepted as identity proof. Without these documents, candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination center.

• First of all candidates should visit the official website of UPPSC uppsc.up.nic.in.
• Click on the link related to admit card on the homepage of the website.
• After this select RO/ARO Typing Test Admit Card link.
• Now candidates enter their registration number and date of birth.
• After filling all the information click on the submit button.
• Admit card will appear on the screen, check it carefully.
• Download the admit card and keep its print copy safely.

The examination calendar which was awaited for a long time, finally Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the complete schedule of all the examinations to be held in the year 2026.

In this examination calendar issued from the Commission headquarters in Prayagraj, it has been clearly stated that which examination will be conducted on which date next year. This will not only help the candidates to plan their studies properly but will also help in better coordination of time with school, college, coaching and personal life.

PCS Mains date decided

The most important information of this calendar is regarding Combined State / Additional Subordinate Services (PCS) Main Examination-2025. According to the Commission, PCS Mains exam will start from March 29, 2026. This examination will run for four consecutive days and will end on April 1, 2026.

PCS exam is counted among the most prestigious and difficult exams of Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, the announcement of its dates is very important for those thousands of candidates who have been preparing for Mains for a long time.

The series of examinations will start from February

UPPSC’s examination activities will intensify from the beginning of the year. Firstly, Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) Main Examination-2023 will be conducted on 2nd and 3rd February 2026. After this, Computer Assistant Exam-2025 will be organized on 6th February 2026 i.e. from the month of February itself, the candidates will have to face continuous examinations. March 2026 is also going to be very important for the candidates. Staff Nurse Unani (Preliminary) Exam-2025 – 17 March 2026, Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) Preliminary Exam-2025 – 22 March 2026, a few days after these exams, PCS Mains will start from 29 March, which is considered to be the biggest exam of this year.

Continuous examinations from April to September

Many big examinations of different departments will also be conducted in the months of April, May, June, July and August. These include examinations for Assistant Teacher, Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Technical Education Service, ACF/RFO, Town Planner and other posts. The special thing is that the ACF/RFO Main Examination-2025 will start from 14th July 2026 and it will last for about 13 days.

Medical and technical examinations in October

Several medical and health-related screening examinations will be conducted in October 2026, which include the examinations for Veterinary Officer, Health Education Officer, Homeopathic Medical Officer and Dental Surgeon.

PCS Prelims 2026, the last big exam of the year

The biggest exam at the end of the year will be PCS Preliminary Exam-2026, which will be conducted on 6 December 2026. This examination is considered to be the formal beginning of the next recruitment cycle. Usually, a large number of new candidates start preparation after PCS Prelims. All major recruitments of UPPSC are completed in three phases. In which the first preliminary examination (Prelims), second main examination (Mains) and third interview (Interview), through these examinations officers and employees are appointed in different departments of the state government.
