Combined Medical Services Exam – CMS conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is being organized on Sunday, July 20, 2025. Examination across the country will be conducted in two shifts. All the candidates appearing in the examination have been advised to download their e-admit card from the official website of the Commission upsc.gov.in in time.

This examination will be conducted in two shifts from 9:30 am to 11:30 am (subject: General Medicine and Child Disease). Second shift: 2:00 to 4:00 pm (theme: Surgery, Gynecology and Maternity Sciences, Preventive and Social Medicine).

The Commission has made it clear that admission will be available only half an hour before the examination starts in the examination center. That is, it will be possible for the first shift to enter the center at 9 am and for the second shift till 1:30 pm. After this, no candidate will be allowed inside.

Permission to take only these things on the exam day

Candidates are allowed to carry limited goods to maintain security and fairness at the examination center.

There will be no arrangement to keep these items at the examination center. If a candidate brings these goods, then it will be the responsibility of keeping it safe. The Commission will not be responsible for any loss.

No e-admit card will be admitted to examination

In order to appear in the examination, it is mandatory for the candidate to take his e-entry card and valid photo identity card. If a candidate could not show this document, then he will not be allowed to appear in the examination.

UPSC CSE Admit Card 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the admit card for the Civil Services Examination 2025 (CSE Prelims), considered to be the most prestigious examination in the country. Candidates who are going to appear in this exam can now download their admit card by visiting the official website upsc.gov.in. Apart from this, candidates can download the admit card by following the steps given here.

This year, a total of 979 posts including IAS, IPS, IFS will be recruited through UPSC CSE, while there will be 150 posts for the Indian Forest Service Examination (IFS). Preliminary Examination (Prelims) will be conducted on 25 May 2025.

This is how the admit card download

• Step 1: Candidates first visit the website upsc.gov.in.
• Step 2: Click on the ‘Admit Card for CSE Prelims 2025’ link on the candidate homepage.
• Step 3: Log in by entering the candidates’ registration number and date of birth.
• Step 4: The admit card will open on the candidate’s screen.
• Step 5: Now download the candidate admit card.
• Step 6: Finally, take out the print out of the candidate admit card.

Exam Pattern and Selection Process

UPSC CSE occurs in three stages – prelims, mens and interviews. The preliminary examination is qualified, while the final merit list is prepared by mixing the marks of Mains and Interview. Through UPSC, youths across the country have the opportunity to serve in many other civil services including Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Services (Ips), Indian Foreign Services (IFS), Indian Revenue Services (IRS).
