One such inspiring story has come to light from Jhajjar district of Haryana, where the son of a security guard proved that failure is not the end, but a preparation for success.

This is the story of Jatin Jakhar who, after failing four times, achieved in the fifth time what millions of youth dream of. In the year 2024, he passed the UPSC Civil Services Examination and achieved All India Rank 191.

Jatin’s childhood was spent in financial crisis. His father started working as a security guard after retiring from the army. It was not easy to run a household with limited income, but he never let his children’s education stop. Putting his own dreams behind, he took his children’s dreams forward. The condition of the house was such that even the dream of expensive coaching could not be dreamed of. But Jatin did not let this become his weakness. He decided that he would prepare on the basis of his hard work.

Father became the biggest inspiration

Jatin saw his father struggling since childhood. Despite the day and night duty, fatigue and responsibilities, there was hope on the father’s face. This hope became Jatin’s strength. He decided that one day he would definitely give the fruits of his father’s hard work. Whenever he failed in the examination, he did not give up. Every time he understood his mistakes, improved himself and started working again.

Without coaching, preparation on one’s own

Most of the students take the help of coaching for difficult exams like UPSC. But Jatin did not have so many resources. He prepared at home with the help of books and notes. Utilized time properly and remained continuously engaged in studies. Failing in an exam four times can break anyone’s morale. But Jatin made failure a lesson.

Failed four times, succeeded fifth time

Jatin failed in UPSC not once or twice but four times. Every time there was disappointment after the result, but he controlled himself. In the year 2024, he passed the examination in the fifth attempt. By securing All India Rank 191, he not only brought glory to his family but also to the entire district.
