If you have cleared UPSC or are dreaming of clearing it, then this news is very important for you. UPSC has clearly explained to the candidates selected in 2025 how to behave on social media. The Commission has said that any kind of post which promotes itself or which can be misinterpreted should be stayed away from.

What is the complete advisory?

UPSC has said in its advisory that the candidates joining civil services are no longer just ordinary citizens, but they become part of a responsible post. In such a situation, their every activity on social media directly impacts the image of their service and the organization.

The Commission has specifically said that candidates should not use their achievements for any kind of advertisement, promotion or branding. That is, if any coaching institute or company wants to use your name and photo for publicity, then keep distance from it.

What precautions have been mentioned regarding social media use?

UPSC has asked the candidates to keep some important things in mind. First of all, before posting anything, think carefully about what impact it may have. It is not right to post anything in a hurry or out of emotion.

Apart from this, avoid such posts which can harm the image of any person, institution or service. UPSC has also said that the officer should not promote the brand on social media by becoming an “influencer”.

Also read – RBSE Result 2026 Date: Rajasthan Board can release 10th-12th results this week, know where you can check-

Why was such strictness necessary?

In the recent past, many such cases have come to light, where names and photographs of successful candidates were used by coaching institutes for their publicity. At the same time, some officers also used social media for self-branding, complaints about which reached the Commission.

Keeping all these things in mind, this time UPSC has issued this advisory in more detail and with more strictness than before.

How many candidates were successful this year?

UPSC had released the result of Civil Services Examination 2025 on 6 March 2026. This time a total of 958 candidates have been selected, which include 659 men and 299 women. This time the number of selected candidates has been slightly less as compared to last year.

Who topped?

This time, Anuj Agnihotri has made his mark across the country by securing All India Rank 1 in the UPSC exam. This success of Anuj, who comes from Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan, has filled not only his family but the entire area with pride.

After the results of UPSC 2025 came out, while there was an atmosphere of happiness among the successful candidates and their families across the country, there was confusion for some time in Ghazipur regarding a name. Actually, there was a situation of discussion and confusion regarding the name of the candidate selected at 301st rank, Akanksha Singh. When Akanksha Singh, a resident of Abhaipur village of Zamania tehsil of Ghazipur, who is currently working as a doctor in Patna AIIMS, got information about this, she was left speechless for some time.

However, later when they gathered detailed information, it became clear that Akanksha Singh, selected at 301st rank, is the same resident of Abhaipur village of Ghazipur. After this was confirmed, there was an atmosphere of happiness in the family as well as the village. Let us tell you that another Akanksha Singh had claimed her rank.

Many candidates from Ghazipur achieved success

In the result of UPSC 2025, about 8 to 10 candidates from Ghazipur district have achieved success in this prestigious examination. After the results came, an atmosphere of happiness was seen in the entire district. Meanwhile, the confusion that emerged regarding the name of Akanksha Singh definitely left people in confusion for some time, but later the situation became clear.

News of success came amid grandfather’s demise

Akanksha Singh’s success story unfolded with an emotional twist. It was told that her grandfather Ram Murat Singh had passed away a few days ago. Garuda Purana program was going on in his house and all the family members were participating in it and listening to Garuda Purana. Meanwhile, a call came from a friend of Akanksha and he told that her name is at 301st rank in the UPSC results.

While there was already an atmosphere of mourning in the house after this news, this sudden news made the entire family emotional. This happiness that came amidst sadness changed the atmosphere of the family and everyone became emotional and started expressing happiness.

Controversy arose for some time regarding rank

However, this happiness turned into confusion for a short while when the news came out that another Akanksha Singh, resident of Arrah district of Bihar, was also claiming the 301st rank. After this, a situation of controversy arose regarding Akanksha Singh.

To clarify this situation, Akanksha Singh sent her roll number and other documents to her friends and acquaintances. After this his friends checked the information on the official website of UPSC based on the names of parents and village.

Confirmation came in the afternoon, happiness returned to the family

Heartbeat had increased at the time of results

The day of UPSC result declaration was very special for Shreya and her family. When the result was declared, Shreya was at home with her mother. As soon as she opened the result PDF and started searching for her name, she got a little nervous when she did not find her name in the first few pages. At that time many types of questions were running in his mind. But when he turned the next page and saw his name at 114th rank, his happiness knew no bounds. This moment became very emotional and memorable for him.

Social service is the biggest goal

After getting success, Shreya said that her biggest goal is to serve the society.
Ujjwal Priyank, resident of Hajipur, Bihar, has brought glory to his family and the entire area by securing 10th rank in the country’s toughest examination, UPSC. As soon as the results came out, there was an atmosphere of happiness in his house. Family members, relatives and neighbors are constantly reaching home to congratulate and express their happiness by feeding sweets.

This success of Ujjwal proved that if one moves towards the goal with hard work and patience, then success is definitely achieved. The special thing is that he has achieved this position in the third attempt. Since childhood, his dream was to become an IAS officer and now he has made this dream come true.

Festive atmosphere at home

People have been coming and going at Ujjwal’s house in Hajipur since morning. Neighbors, relatives and acquaintances are arriving to congratulate him. Everyone is praising Ujjwal’s hard work and dedication. Ujjwal’s father Sanjeev Singh told the media that his son always made hard work his path. He said that Ujjwal was good in studies since childhood and always studied by himself. He was also very fond of doing social service. He was often ahead to help people.

Sanjeev Singh expressed happiness and said that I am very proud that my son has brought such great success today. Earlier he used to serve the society, now he will serve the country. There can be no greater happiness than this for any father. He also told that since the results came, phone calls have been coming continuously. The process of congratulations from relatives and friends is not stopping. He laughingly said that so many calls are coming that now he is getting tired while talking on the phone.

Also read – Lost arms and legs in train accident, but not dreams; Suraj Tiwari once again cracked UPSC exam

Achieved great success through self study

The most important thing about Ujjwal’s success is that he did most of his preparation while staying at home. He believed in self-study and studied for several hours every day. His family says that Ujjwal always remained serious about his goals. He started preparing for UPSC from the year 2023. He was not successful in his first two attempts, but he did not give up. Understanding my shortcomings and working harder, I took the exam for the third time and directly made it to the top 10.

study journey

Ujjwal did his early education from Patna. He studied from nursery to tenth class from Rajdhani Gyan Niketan School, Patna. After this, he also completed his 12th class from a private school in Patna. After completing school, Ujjwal went to Jaipur, where he studied engineering. It was during his engineering days that the thought became stronger in his mind that he had to join civil services. After completing his degree, he started preparing for UPSC. Along with studies, he also remained associated with social service. He always liked helping people.

childhood dream came true

According to Ujjwal’s family, he had dreamed of becoming an IAS in his childhood itself. He always said that one day he would work for the country and try to bring change in the society. Today, when he has secured 10th rank in UPSC, his same dream seems to be coming true. Family members say that Ujjwal has always been hardworking and of a calm nature. He never gave up and kept moving towards his goal.

UPSC has released the final result of Civil Services Examination 2025 on Friday. Candidates who are successful in this examination are selected for the most prestigious services of the country like IAS, IPS, IFS and other central services. This year a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment. This time Anuj Agnihotri of Rajasthan has topped the UPSC CSE exam 2025, while Rajeshwari Suve M has come second.

Let us tell you that usually the result of UPSC is released within 4 to 6 days after the end of the interview. This time the UPSC interviews ended on 27th February, after which the final result has been released today i.e. on 6th February. With the UPSC results, discussions regarding the training to be conducted in LBSNAA have also intensified. Very few people know, but even after passing the difficult exam of UPSC, the real test of the candidates does not end. Actually, the selected candidates have to undergo rigorous and disciplined training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration located in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. It is from here that the administrative career of every successful officer begins. In such a situation, let us tell you how difficult the LBSNAA training is for an IAS candidate.

Training starts from LBSNAA

After the declaration of UPSC results, candidates usually have to report to LBSNAA within about one and a half months. Here, trainee officers of all services are initially given a foundation course together. During this time they can be given basic understanding of administration and are prepared physically and mentally. The first phase of the foundation course consists of an academic module of about 15 weeks, in which studies related to administration, policy making and governance are imparted. Along with this, there is also a Bharat Darshan program of 40 to 45 days. In which trainee officers are sent to different parts of the country, so that they can closely understand the diversity and administrative challenges of India.

Also read-UPSC Toppers List: Anuj Agnihotri became UPSC topper, know who is included in the top-10 list?

District training provides ground level understanding

After the foundation course, the second phase of training begins, in which trainee officers are sent for district training. This program lasts for about a year, during which officers are given practical information about administrative work, law and order and operation of government schemes in the districts. This is followed by about 6 weeks of training in the third phase, where officers share their experiences and learnings. In the fourth phase, IAS officers are given the opportunity to work as Assistant Secretaries in the Central Secretariat.

Strict discipline and rigorous routine

The training environment at LBSNAA is considered very disciplined. Here the day starts with morning physical activity. Apart from morning PT, horse riding, swimming, sports activities and many other physical practices are also conducted. Trainee officers are required to follow a formal dress code and maintain discipline during classes. There is a provision for giving warnings or memos even for small mistakes. Sometimes marks can also be deducted for coming late, not following the dress code, breaking discipline in class. Whereas in LBSNAA, trainee officers get facilities like hostel accommodation, food, library, gym, sports complex and IT services. He gets a salary of about Rs 56,000 per month during training, although after expenses like hostel and mess fees, about Rs 40,000 is left in his hands.

UPSC Result 2025: The results of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) 2025 have once again proved that success is not dependent on anyone. While states like Rajasthan, Bihar and Tamil Nadu have made their mark in the top-10 list, there are some states whose performance this time was not as per expectations. From the plains of Kashmir to the hills of Himachal, there are many states which remained dry in the list of toppers this year. Let’s find out.

Which states dominate?

Only candidates from selected states have made it to the list of toppers this year. The list of toppers includes Anuj Agnihotri of Rajasthan, Rajeshwari Suve M of Tamil Nadu, Akansh Dhull (Chandigarh), Raghav Jhunjhunwala (Bihar), Ishan Bhatnagar (Madhya Pradesh), Zinnia Arora (Delhi), A. R. States like Rajah Mohaideen (Tamil Nadu), Pakshal Secretary (Madhya Pradesh), Aastha Jain (Uttar Pradesh), Ujjwal Priyank (Bihar) dominated.

Those states which remained completely out of the race for top-10

The surprising thing was that no candidate from states like Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Maharashtra, Manipur, Nagaland, Odisha, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, Assam-Meghalaya could make it to the prestigious list of top-10. Kashmir, which has produced toppers like Shah Faesal and Athar Aamir in the last few years, looked quiet at the top level this year.

Also read: UPSC Toppers List: Anuj Agnihotri became UPSC topper, know who is included in the top-10 list?

Similarly, the absence of West Bengal and Jharkhand, which were once considered the strongholds of civil services, has become the center of discussion. This year was also dry for the hill state Himachal Pradesh in terms of top-10.

Participation of states among 958 successful candidates

Even though these states could not come in the top-10, the contribution of these states in the total list of 958 successful candidates is not zero. According to the data, 180 candidates have been selected for IAS, 150 for IPS and 55 for IFS. In these, some selected candidates from Kashmir have registered their presence by securing lower ranks. Similarly, some students from Himachal and Bengal have been successful in making it to the list of 900, but they missed the top 10.

Is the trend of civil service decreasing in Bengal and Jharkhand?

This performance of the states clearly shows that the culture of civil services preparation is still very strong in Rajasthan, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, in states like Bengal and Jharkhand, perhaps the inclination of students is moving towards other fields or the level of preparation is lacking somewhere. These results are a sign of introspection for the coaching institutes and candidates of these states in the coming times.
