Vivek did his schooling from Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Chanderi and then graduated from Hindu College, Delhi University. He took a graduation degree in History Honors and then completed his post graduation in History from Indira Gandhi Open University. He was preparing for the civil service exam for the last three years.
