The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has carried out large-scale air strikes on several Islamic State (ISIS) targets in Syria. This action was taken under Operation Hawkeye Strike, the objective of which was to completely destroy the terrorist network operating in the area.

Sharing information on social media platform X, CENTCOM said that the attack was carried out at around 12:30 pm American time. In these attacks, ISIS positions present in different areas of Syria were targeted.

Strong message against terrorism

According to CENTCOM, this operation is part of America’s continuing commitment against terrorism. The purpose of this action is to prevent terrorist attacks on American soldiers and allied forces, eliminate future threats, and ensure security in the region. CENTCOM said bluntly, ‘Anyone who tries to harm our soldiers will be found and eliminated in any corner of the world.’

Campaign started in response to Palmyra attack

Operation Hawkeye Strike was started on 19 December 2025 on the instructions of US President Donald Trump. This decision was taken after the ISIS attack in Palmyra, Syria on December 13, 2025, in which two American soldiers and one American citizen were killed. The soldiers killed were identified as Sergeant Edgar Brian Torres Tovar, 25, and Sergeant William Nathaniel Howard, 29, of the Iowa National Guard. Both of these soldiers were part of the US military team which was deployed in the Middle East earlier this year.

Use of more than 90 precision weapons

According to CNN report, more than 90 precision munitions were used during this military operation and more than 35 terrorist hideouts were targeted. More than two dozen fighter planes took part in the attacks. American officials say that this operation is part of the strategy to completely defeat ISIS under Operation Inherent Resolve. Experts believe that this action has dealt a major blow to the terrorist network operating in Syria and the number of such operations may increase in the coming days.

America’s Central Command (CENTCOM) on Saturday (November 1, 2025) shared a video related to the Palestinian militant organization Hamas. In this video, the US agency has claimed that suspected members of Hamas looted a humanitarian aid truck in southern Gaza. Whose drone footage has been released.

CENTCOM posted a video on social media platform X. “The US-led Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) observed suspected Hamas operatives looting a truck from a humanitarian aid convoy that was delivering vital aid to Gazans in northern Khan Yunis on behalf of international partners,” the post said.

The incident reportedly occurred on Friday (October 31, 2025) near North Khan Yunus, when a US MQ-9 surveillance drone was conducting live video surveillance of the area. This drone was monitoring the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas at that time.

According to the CENTCOM statement, ‘Hamas members attacked the truck driver, pushed him into the middle of the road, and then looted the truck and aid supplies. Meanwhile, the current condition of the truck driver is unknown. This looted truck was part of a humanitarian aid convoy sent by international partners. Information about this incident was received through drone feed to the Civil Military Coordination Center (CMCC) located in Kiryat Gat, southern Israel.

This center has been formed under the leadership of America, which includes representatives of about 40 countries and international organizations. Its purpose is to coordinate humanitarian, logistics and security assistance in Gaza and to monitor post-war stabilization efforts.

Rubin raised questions on American generals
Rubin also surprised why when Asim Munir threatened this from the US land, why did the American generals not walkout with him with meetings. He called it a serious lapse and said that the generals who did not do so should resign immediately. This comment also indirectly pressurize the US military establishment, which is likely to adopt more strict attitude in such cases in the coming times.

Potential diplomatic results
Rubin demands that until Pakistan officially explains and forgives this statement, General Munir and any other Pakistani officer should be declared as Persona Non Greta (unwanted person) in the US. This would mean that these officers will not get American visa and they will not be able to step on American soil.
