Tariff war: There is tension between the US and China regarding the tariff. Both countries are adamant in their respective places and no one is ready to retreat. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has said that if there is any conversation on the tariff, then China will have to start it.

Trump said in his statement, “When and how the conversation will happen, it is not to be decided by China. We do not have to deal with them but they have to compromise us. There is a difference between China and other countries.”

Caroline Levit released a statement

White House press secretary Caroline Lewit said in a media briefing, “The President has made a lot of clear about China and has just shared another statement with me in the Oval office, which I want to tell.”

Lewitt said, “Now the balls are in China’s court. China needs to compromise with America. We do not need a compromise with them. There is no difference between China and other countries, except that they (China) are very big.”

Citing Trump, he further said that China and the rest of the countries want the US-America customers. In clear words, “they need our money.” Lewitt said, “The President has once again made it clear that he is ready for a compromise with China, but in reality China will have to compromise with the US.”
