The United States Department of Labor has released a video detailing the abuse of H-1B visas. The Trump administration is claiming through this advertisement that foreign workers are stealing the dreams of the American people.

In this video, the share of countries with the highest number of H-1B visa holders has been shown through a pie-chart graphic, in which India is shown to be the highest at 72 percent. In an audio it is being said that the dreams of the American people were stolen.

Dreams of American people have been snatched away: Trump administration

A video released by the US Department of Labor on Thursday (30 October 2025) said, “Foreign workers have snatched away the dreams of many of America’s youth because politicians and bureaucrats have allowed companies to abuse H-1B visas.”

It further states that through US President Donald Trump’s Project Firewall, companies are being held accountable for the misuse of H-1B visas and Americans are being given priority in the recruitment process. The 52-second video ended with ‘Reliving the American dream for the American people’.

Trump administration said this by showing India’s figures

According to Homeland Security Office data, the largest number of immigrants to the US in fiscal year 2024 came from India, which accounted for 33 percent of the total non-immigrant population in the United States. On September 19, US President Trump announced the imposition of a heavy duty of $ 100,000 on H-1B visas, which became effective from September 21.

This action of Trump created panic among the Indian community living in America. The White House later clarified that this fee will not be charged every year, but once. It was also said that the increase in fees will not have any impact on existing visa holders.

Tata consultancy services: The day of Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS), the country’s largest IT service provider, is not going well nowadays. On Thursday, September 25, TCS shares came close to 52-weeks low level. Indian IT companies are in bad shape due to new rules regarding H-1B visa from President Donald Trump in America. The market cap of these companies has lost about 2 lakh crores.

TCS shares fall drastically

Last year, on 13 December, TCS shares reached a record high level of Rs 4,494. Since then, it has declined by 35 percent. In the last few days, it has been the worst performance share on the Nifty IT index. Alam is that the TCS is reaching close to the oversold zone on the chart, whose relative strength index (RSI) is at the level of 32. RSI reading below 30 means that the share is in the ‘oversold’ zone. After TCS, HCLTECH shares have fallen by 27 percent so far.

Shares of these companies also fell

According to the Economic Times report, in the last 11 months, TCS shares have declined by 29 percent and it is still going on. This has caused a loss of Rs 4.5 lakh crore to the company’s market cap. TCS’s market cap was Rs 10,70,013 crore till Thursday, 25 September. Despite such a big decline, it still remains on its position of the country’s largest IT company. After TCS, the shares of Persistant Systems and HCL Tech have fallen by about 2 percent, while Wipro and Coforge’s shares have declined by more than 1 percent. The shares of Infosys, Emphasis and Tech Mahindra have also declined by about 1 percent, while LTIIMINTRI shares were trading on the red mark with a slight decline.

What is Trump’s new decree?

Trump recently increased the fees for H-1B visa to $ 100,000. Last year, most H-1B visas were issued by American companies to Indians. India alone was 71 percent in the Total Issured H-1B visa, while China stood at 11.7 second place. Trump’s maximum impact has been affected by Trump’s increase in H-1B visa fees because the US market is very important for Indian IT companies.

Now, due to increase in fees, the expenditure being incurred on clients in the US IT market may decrease. This can increase the cost of Indian companies. With the increase in fees, Trump has also proposed to eliminate the lottery system for allotment of H-1B visa and suggested to replace it with a wedge-based selection process. That is, while issuing the visa, priority will be given to those foreign workers who will apply more salary employees.

Radhika Gupta, Managing Director and CEO of Edelweiss AML, said that she would no longer want to go back to America for extended to the US. He talked about Indian students studying in America and shared his experiences.

Radhika Gupta wrote in a post on LinkedIn, ‘I was lucky that I got a graduation in 2005, when the H-1B criteria were more favorable in the US, but during the financial crisis in 2008, the situation changed rapidly and many Indian students started feeling upset, lost and trapped.’

‘Dare, let’s go back now’

He said, ‘After the visa criteria in the US, some students returned home, while some decided to return to India even after a valid visa. Those who had a valid visa, they also returned to their homeland. Today, here we have achieved a lot of success with our hard work and dedication and now we are feeling bliss.

Gupta said, ‘She left America 20 years ago and if she still gets a chance, she will not go there herself.’ Encouraging Indian students living abroad, he said, “If you are currently in the American campus and feel disappointed, remember that if one door is closed then many more doors are opened.” Radhika said, ‘India of the year 2025 has now become more exciting than India of 2005. Dare, let’s go back now.

In 2006, AQR included in Capital Management

Let us know that Ms. Gupta, who was a student of Pennsylvania University and Wharton School, graduated in Computer Science Engineering and Economics in the year 2005. Before joining the AQR Capital Management in 2006, he worked as a business analyst at McInsey & Co..

After the increase in the H-1B visa duty implemented by US President Donald Trump, where visa holders had to pay a year fee of $ 10,000 $ 10, now the same fee has been increased to $ 1,00,000. To protect American jobs and ensure that only qualified employees are hired in America.

H-1B News: First tariff, then penalty and now H-1B visa, US President Donald Trump is being taken one after the other. Trump has announced a huge fee for H-1B visas. That is, now those applying for H-1B visa will have to pay an application fee of about 88 lakh rupees annually. This new decree of Trump has led to another debate. Industry experts, political personalities and many community representatives in India have given their opinion on this. Together it has been said that this step of America should not be heavy for it. They believe that India is expected to benefit instead of damage. On Friday, Trump signed a proposal to apply a prohibit hike for H-1B visa, which will be effective from Sunday.

What is the issue of H-1B visa?

So far, the fees for H-1B visa ranges from about 2,000 to 5,000 US dollars based on the size and other expenses of the companies. The H-1B visa remains valid for three years. Later, this visa, which was renewed, used more American companies to bring more foreign professionals to them. Many of them also used to belong to India.

According to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), about 71 percent of the total H-1B visas approved in recent years have been released to Indians. Trump has argued that the H-1B visa program is being misused. It was designed to bring more efficient temporary workers in the US. However, this has put the jobs of American workers in danger. Outsourcing companies have used this program to replace cheap foreign employees instead of American employees. He described it as the issue of both economic and national security.

How will India benefit?

However, former NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, reacting strongly to this, he wrote on X, “Donald Trump’s pric hike of 1,00,000 H-1B fees will stop innovation in America and will speed up innovation in India. Closing its doors for global talent, closing its doors, patent, innovation and next wave of start-making on the other hand Is pushing. ” Arguing, he further said that India now has an opportunity to understand the understanding of doctors, engineers and scientists and their experiences, which would choose to work in America otherwise.

Donald Trump’s 100,000 H-1B FEE WILL ChOK Us Innovation, and TurboCharge India’s. By Slamming the Door on Global Talent, America Pushes The Next Wave of Labs, Patents, Innovation and Startups to Bangalore and Hyderabad, Pune and Gurgaon. India’s Finest Doctors, Engineers,…

– Amitabh Kant (@Amitabhk87) September 20, 2025

Talented people will turn towards India

PTI, quoting former Infosys CFO and veteran investor Mohandas Pai, said in its report, the US will discourage applicants to increase fees for H-1B visas. At first, a limited number of applications are made for this because it is not applicable to those who are there earlier, so it can affect any person applying in future, new applications will be reduced. No one will give $ 100,000 for this, this is absolutely true. “

Entrepreneur and Snapdeal co-founder Kunal Bahl also expressed his opinion and said that due to the new rules, many skilled professionals will return to their respective countries. He wrote on X, “A large number of talented people will return to India due to the new H-1B rules.”
