US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are now face to face regarding the war with Iran. Trump has clearly said that he will have to accept the American agreement. Trump said he has no choice but to accept any agreement Washington makes to end the war in the Middle East. In an interview with the Financial Times, Trump said that the final decision on US-Israeli aggression against Tehran is his. He said that he (Netanyahu) has no option. Trump further said that I decide everything. Netanyahu cannot decide anything.

This statement of the US President comes immediately after Iran fired ballistic missiles at Israel, which is considered to be the most serious violation of the fragile ceasefire in early April. Meanwhile, Trump separately told Fox News and Axios that he would instruct Netanyahu not to retaliate against Iran and return to the negotiating table. However, Trump’s stance is completely different from the statements of the Israeli Army.

What did Trump say to Netanyahu?
Axios, quoting an American official, said that Trump told Netanyahu on the phone to wait for some time, because we are close to doing something good in terms of agreement. According to the report, the Israeli leader initially protested, but eventually gave his consent to retreat. He told that we feel that the President has taken some time. They are absolutely adamant that we are close to an agreement with Iran. I don’t think there is going to be any immediate attack from Israel.

Trump told the FT that Iran’s attacks on Israel have not changed his desire to complete US-Iran talks. He said that this will not have any impact on the agreement. Trump further said that let’s see what the result will be, but the missile attacks on Israel were such that they had no significant impact. He further said that this is one of those things that has been going on for 3,000 years, or 47 years, depending on how you count.

read this also

Now America will directly enter the Indian Ocean! Trump will buy this island close to India, know what is cooking in his mind?

If we take the name of the most powerful country on the world map, then America comes first, which has such power and nuclear weapons that it has the capability to destroy any country, but when Iran directly challenged this America, then it became beyond the understanding of defense experts. Iran defeated America not with any nuclear bomb or major warfare, but only through its missiles and drones. Now the whole world is eager to know from where Iran got this powerful technology despite the economic crisis and strict restrictions. You will know in the explainer…

Question 1: How did Iran compete directly with America and Israel?
answer: Iran adopted the strategy of asymmetric warfare. In this, a large number of cheap drones like Shahid-136 were attacked and ballistic missiles were fired. In the March 2026 conflict, Iran fired hundreds of missiles and thousands of drones. Iran’s strategy was to attack with 32 lakh Shahid drones, to kill which America would have to fire missiles worth millions of dollars.

Earlier in April 2024, Iran fired more than 170 drones, more than 30 cruise missiles and more than 120 ballistic missiles at Israel. Most were intercepted, but some caused damage.

Question 2: When and how did Iran get the technology of drones and missiles?
answer: To understand this story, we will have to go back about four decades, i.e. in the 1980s, when a bloody war was going on between Iran and Iraq. During that time, America and Western countries imposed strict sanctions on Iran and Iran was not able to even buy weapons for its army.

Defense analyst Akram Kharik’s book ‘In the Shadow of Shahid’ According to, ‘Then Iran’s leadership decided that it would no longer depend on other countries. Iran decided to make weapons itself, which we know today as ‘reverse engineering’. It simply means that by disassembling the weapon made by another country, understanding its technology and then making a similar better weapon by ourselves.

Iranian students working on drone program at Isfahan University

‘This technology of Iran got its real flight in 2011, when Iran did not kill America’s most advanced and secret ‘RQ-170 Sentinel’ spy drone while flying in the air, but with the help of its cyber experts, hacked its system and landed it on its soil. America put a lot of pressure to take back the drone, but Iran never returned the drone and completely understood its technology by ripping out its engine, camera and radar. The Shahid-136 drone is fitted with an MD-550 engine, which is a reverse engineered version of the German Limbach L550E. After this, Iran made a copy of the same drone which has today become the backbone of its drone fleet.

Question 3: What is the specialty of Shahid-136 drone?
answer: The most important role in this campaign of Iran has been played by ‘Shahid’ drone, which today the whole world looks at with fear. It is a ‘loitering munition’, which in simple language can be called a flying bomb which can hover in the sky for hours. On finding the target, it collides directly with it and explodes. Iran has made these drones so cheap and dangerous that while an American missile defense system costs crores of rupees, this Shahid drone of Iran is made for just a few lakhs of rupees.

When hundreds of Shahid drones come into the sky together, the enemy’s air defense system stops working because the missile fired at them is many times more expensive than the drone itself, due to which the economic loss of the enemy is also huge. This is the reason why even distant countries like Australia have started fearing the shadow of this Shahid drone of Iran because Iran has also given this technology to powerful countries like Russia which is using it extensively in Ukraine. Shahid-136 Drone:

Weight: 400 kg

Length: 3.5 meters

Range: 2000-2500 km

Speed: 180 km/h

Warhead: 20-40 kg

Guidance: Inertial Navigation and Satellite Jamming

USP: It flies at low altitude (30 meters) at night and radar can hardly detect it. It can be made cheaply and on a large scale. By sending it in ‘swarm’ the defense is overloaded.

Iran’s Shahid-136 drone

Question 4: Did Iran cause a big injury to America through asymmetric war?
answer: According to research by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, Iran has advanced its missile technology along with drones to such an extent that today it has ballistic missiles with a range of thousands of kilometers. Iran initially understood the technologies with the help of North Korea and other countries but later it improved them according to its needs.

Now Iranian missiles have become completely capable of reaching American military bases and Israel. Iran has adopted a way of using its power which in the language of strategy is called ‘Asymmetric Warfare’.

Hiding its intentions, Iran has equipped its supporters in the Middle East, Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Yemen’s Houthis, Iraq and Syria with these drones and missiles and now America and its allies are in danger of a sudden attack from any corner of the Middle East.

America had spent more than 11.3 billion dollars in the first 6 days to kill Iran’s missiles and drones. America wasted more than 30 billion dollars in the entire conflict. America fired missiles worth millions of dollars to kill Iran’s swarm of cheap drones. Iran’s drones used to attack by flying close to the ground at night, which became difficult for the American defense system to trace.

Today, Iran is not like any global superpower, but it has proved that if you have the right strategy, modern technology like drones and missiles, then you can defeat even the most powerful country in the world.

America is the largest Christian country in the world, where the total population of people of Christian religion is 69%. President Donald Trump describes himself as a Christian and won 55% support from Catholic voters in the 2024 election, but in April 2026, he had an open dispute with Pope Leo XIV (the first American Pope born in Chicago). This conflict is mainly about the US-Israeli military operation on Iran. The Pope condemned the war, while Trump considered it an attack on his foreign policy and launched a direct attack on the Pope. In the explainer, let us understand the story of the years-long conflict between the state and the church…

Question 1: What is the full story of Trump and Pope’s dispute over Iran war?
answer: The dispute began in January 2026 when the Trump administration removed Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro from power. Pope Leo XIV criticized this action. Then in April 2026, America and Israel launched military attacks on Iran. The Pope called it ‘the illusion of omnipotence’ and declared the war wrong. ‘God does not hear the prayers of those who fight,’ he said at a mass in St. Peter’s Basilica.

Trump considered this an attack on his policy and said that he does not want a Pope who would allow Iran to have nuclear weapons. On April 13, 2026, Trump told reporters, I don’t think he (the Pope) is doing a good job. This is like a crime. He generated an AI-generated image depicting himself as Jesus and posted it on social media. However, it was later deleted after backlash. The Pope visited Algeria and told reporters that he was not afraid of the Trump administration and would continue to spread the message of the Gospel.

Trump said he does not want a Pope allowing Iran to have nuclear weapons

Question 2: What does this confrontation mean and what could happen next?
answer: This conflict reflects the deep tension between moral guidance (the Pope) and political responsibility (the President). Even in a Christian-dominated country like America, this controversy is special because Pope Leo XIV himself is an American. Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni called Trump’s words unacceptable. Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini said the Pope is a symbol of peace.

Former Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi described Trump as a ‘breaker of relations’. Iranian President Masoud Pejshkian also criticized Trump. US Vice President JD Vance told the Vatican that they should be limited to matters of morality. The author of Catholic Connect says this is the worst debate in history. History shows that such conflicts are mostly resolved through diplomacy, but if both sides remain adamant, the divide may increase. Trump has not apologized and the Pope will continue to give a message of peace.

Pope Leo XIV said he is not afraid of Trump

Question 3: What is the long history of conflict between American presidents and the Pope?
answer: The history of confrontation between American presidents and the Pope begins in 1919, when for the first time an American President met the Pope.

On January 4, 1919, President Woodrow Wilson meets with Pope Benedict XV at the Vatican. This was the first meeting. The two talked about peace after the world war, but the meeting ended strangely. When the Pope asked everyone to bless, Wilson (not a Catholic) stood while the Catholics knelt. This was the first ‘uncomfortable moment’.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt attempted to establish formal diplomatic relations with the Vatican, but only sent a personal envoy due to opposition from the Senate and the Protestant majority.

President Harry Truman tried to appoint an ambassador to the Vatican in 1951, but there was so much opposition from the Protestant community that the nominee resigned. This was the first major political controversy.

In 1963, President John F. Kennedy meets with (Catholic) Pope Paul VI. This was the first meeting between a Catholic president and a Pope, but before the election Kennedy was accused of ‘Vatican influence because he is a Catholic’, which he denied. The meeting went well, but there was tension in the background.

President Richard Nixon meets with Pope Paul VI in 1970. The meeting was described as less than pleasant, rather acrimonious.

In 1993, there was an open dispute between President Bill Clinton and Pope John Paul II over abortion and population control. The Clinton administration supported abortion rights, while the Pope was strongly against it.

President George W. Bush and Pope John Paul II had differences over the Iraq War and stem cell research. In 2004 the Pope condemned the Iraq War. Bush and Pope Benedict XVI also had different positions on the Iraq War, death penalty and abortion.

There was a big dispute between President Barack Obama and Pope Francis on ‘mandatory cover of contraceptive drugs’. There was opposition to giving it to Catholic hospitals and institutions. When they met in 2015, both agreed on poverty and inequality, but there was tension over religious freedom and abortion.

In 2016, there was also an altercation between Trump and Pope Francis. There was controversy over migration policy and the border wall, but it did not reach this level.

Question 4: How does America, despite being the largest Christian country, turn against the church?
answer: By 2026, there will be approximately 213 to 217 million Christians in America, which is the highest number in the world. Yet this sometimes conflicts with the moral advice of the Pope or the Catholic Church. The reason for this is not any ‘anti-church’, but the basic constitutional system of America. It is clearly written in the First Amendment of the US Constitution, ‘The government cannot make any religion the state religion nor can it restrict the freedom of any religion.’ Thomas Jefferson called it ‘the wall between church and state’ in 1802.

America was founded by those people who fled from Europe and faced persecution there in the name of religion. So the Founders deliberately made sure that no religious institution could direct the government. The President takes oath on the Constitution, not on the Church.

Foreign affairs expert and NEHU professor Prosenjit Biswas says, ‘When policy issues like war, abortion, immigration, equal rights or foreign policy conflict with the moral teachings of the Church, the US President gives priority to the national interest, the demands of the voters and constitutional responsibility. For example, in the ongoing dispute between Trump and Pope Leo XIV regarding the Iran war, the Pope talks about peace and morality, while Trump gives priority to America First and security. There have been many disagreements before this also. America is a ‘Christian majority’ country, but not a ‘Christian state’. There is religious freedom here, but the state is secular. This is the reason why despite being the largest Christian country, it does not consider the moral orders of the Church as binding, but considers it a part of its democratic freedom.

In 69% Christian America, this Trump-Pope Leo XIV dispute is a new chapter in the old story of Church vs State. There has been a conflict between morality and security on issues like the Iran war and Venezuela. History is witness to the fact that such disputes between power and morality have always been going on, but solutions can be found only through dialogue.

Voices of opposition are emerging within America regarding the ongoing war with Iran. Joe Kent, head of the US Counter Terrorism Center, resigned from his post on Tuesday (March 17). He cited the ongoing war with Iran as the reason for his resignation. He said that he cannot support a war against his conscience. Earlier on March 16, White House Religious Freedom Commission advisor Sameera Munshi had also resigned due to this reason.

‘Can’t support war’

Joe Kent said, he has decided to resign after much consideration. He clearly said that the ongoing war with Iran is not beneficial for the American people in any way. Besides, Israel’s pressure was also cited as a major reason behind the outbreak of war. Kent said, he cannot support war at any cost.

Letter written to Donald Trump

Joe Kent, director of the US Counter Terrorism Center, wrote a letter to US President Donald Trump. He expressed disappointment over the ongoing war between America, Israel and Iran. He said, I cannot support the ongoing war with Iran at all. Iran poses no immediate threat to our country. Kent also said that the war started due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American supporters. He described the ongoing war with Iran as against the interests of the American people.

Was counted among staunch supporters

Let us tell you that at one time Joe Kent was counted among the staunch supporters of American President Donald Trump. He openly praised Trump and his foreign policies during the US presidential elections.

Sameera Munshi has also resigned

Let us tell you that before this, Sameera Munshi, the only Muslim woman who served in the Religious Freedom Committee of US President Donald Trump, has also resigned from her post. He also cited the ongoing war with Iran as the reason for this. She posted on X that she was appointed by the President and was working as an advisor to the White House Religious Freedom Commission. He described the war with Iran as illegal, arguing that it was launched without explicit constitutional or parliamentary authorization.

He claimed that people of faith are being stripped of their freedom of expression and their lives are being put in danger because of their deeply held beliefs about Palestine and all this is being done to further a Zionist political agenda.

16 days have passed since the war that broke out between America, Israel and Iran. The war is affecting these countries as well as other countries of the world. The movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz has also been affected; to secure it, US President Donald Trump had appealed to the allied countries to send warships here, but these hopes of Trump on Hormuz seem to be getting a setback. Many countries seem to be clearly refusing to do so.

What is Britain’s stance?

During a briefing from Downing Street on Monday morning, Keir Starmer said Britain was working with allies on a viable plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, but he made clear it would not be a NATO mission.

Germany refused

Germany has also refused to send warships. Defense Minister Boris Pistorius rejected President Donald Trump’s demands. He said, ‘This is not our war, we did not start it.’

South Korea did not take the decision

South Korea has also not taken any decision yet on Trump’s request. On Sunday (March 15), South Korea’s presidential office said the country would ‘communicate closely with the US on this matter and make a decision after careful review.’

Even Japan is not ready

Japan also does not seem to be launching any kind of security operation in the current situation. Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi clearly said in parliament on Monday (March 16), ‘In the current situation in Iran, we are not currently considering launching a maritime security operation.’

Australia also refused

Australia has also refused to send warships to the Strait of Hormuz. Cabinet member Catherine King also refused to send naval ships to the Strait of Hormuz in an interview with state broadcaster ABC on Monday (16 March).

China’s stance is not clear

A spokesman for the Chinese Embassy in Washington did not say whether Beijing would accept Trump’s request, but said all parties have a responsibility to ensure stable and uninterrupted energy supplies.

‘I will cut off electricity from Iran within an hour, but…’, Trump threatened again, what did he say on oil prices?

It has been 17 days since the ongoing war between America and Iran. America’s President Donald Trump’s big statement regarding the war has come out. He said that the war with Iran will end soon. Trump said that I have left a lot of infrastructure in Tehran because if I did so, it would take years to build it.

Speaking to America’s government channel, Trump said, ‘I can shut down power plants in an hour, but if I do that, it will take years to rebuild them and it will be a big blow. That’s why I’m trying to avoid such things. He also described the expenditure on the ongoing war with Iran as ‘nessile’. Also said that as soon as the war ends, oil prices will fall drastically.

The US President said that we are doing very well and repeated his statement of destroying Iran’s army. He further said, ‘They want to compromise, but they feel that they are not ready to compromise yet.’ Regarding the attack on Kharg Island, Trump said, ‘Kharg Island is completely inactive except for the pipes, which I left there. I didn’t want to attack the pipes because, you know, it takes years of work to put them together.’

‘Trying to postpone things’

He further said, ‘I have left a lot of infrastructure in Tehran because if it is destroyed then years of construction will go to waste. I could demolish the power plants in an hour but if I do that, it will take years of reconstruction and that would be a blow. That’s why I’m trying to avoid such things.

‘Oil prices will fall as soon as the war ends’

Trump said the war was a ‘low price to pay’ for the years of terror the Iranian regime has committed. On the question of the time frame for the decline in oil prices, he said that after the end of the war, oil prices will fall rapidly.

Amid the ongoing war in the Middle East, there is a gas crisis looming in India. In such a situation, there is a fight among people regarding LPG gas cylinders. Meanwhile, a shocking revelation has now been made in Delhi regarding the connection of the pipeline.

Amid the LPG crisis, there has been a 200 percent increase in applications for Pipeline Natural Gas (PNG) connections within Delhi within two weeks. This number has increased from 700 to around 1500. This information has been given by Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL).

What did the IGL official tell?

IGL distributes LPG and PNG gas in Delhi. One of its officials said that IGL used to receive around 700-800 applications for new PNG connections. In such a situation, in the last two weeks, amidst the chaos regarding LPG gas supply, there has been a huge increase in its applications.

The official further said that these days IGL is receiving around 1200 to 1500 applications for new PNG connections every day. In such a situation, the number of requests in the call center has also increased three times than before. Let us tell you that the government is also encouraging people to connect with PNG.

IGL launches scheme for PNG

It was told by IGL that customers who apply for a new PNG connection before March 31 will be given a discount of Rs 500 in their first bill. Also, this scheme will also be applicable on those customers who will start their connection before March 31.

Let us tell you that 19 lakh families, 4500 commercial establishments and about 2000 industrial units in Delhi have Pipeline Natural Gas (PNG) connections. Explaining the process, the officer said that verification is done immediately after the application is received.

For this, area, place and various factors are kept in mind. It takes 15 to 30 days to establish a new connection. It may also be different. IGL has appealed to the people to avoid spreading rumors and panic.

Today (March 14) is the 15th day of the war between America, Israel and Iran, which started on February 28. The fire of war has not spread only to these countries but its heat is being felt all over the world. India is also taking necessary steps to deal with this crisis. Especially when concerns are being raised regarding LPG supply due to the impact of movement in Iran’s Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, the Shipping Ministry has given a big update regarding this.

‘Indian sailors completely safe’

Rajesh Kumar Sinha, Chief Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, said, ‘All Indian sailors are completely safe in the Persian Gulf area, no untoward incident of any kind has happened with them in the last 24 hours.’ He told, ’24 Shivas of the Indian flag were present in the Persian Gulf, located west of the Strait of Hormuz.’

Two LPG ships will return to India

Sinha further said, ‘Two of these ships, Shivalik and Nanda, are LPG carriers. They emerged safely from the Strait of Hormuz last night (Friday)/this morning and are moving towards India. There is about 92,700 metric tons of LPG on both these ships. It will arrive at Mundra and Kandla ports on 16 and 17 March. Currently, there are 22 Indian ships left in the Persian Gulf, with 611 sailors on board.

Raids to stop black marketing and hoarding of LPG

At the same time, rapid raids are being conducted to stop black marketing and hoarding of LPG. Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, said that raids are being conducted to curb black marketing and hoarding. Teams have been formed in many states, which are conducting surprise inspections.

FIR against 19 in UP, many in custody

Giving an example, he said that joint teams conducted raids in Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Surprise inspections were also conducted at about 1400 places in Uttar Pradesh. Around 20 FIRs have been registered, several persons have been detained and action is being taken against around 19 people. Similarly, raids have also been conducted in Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha and Karnataka.

‘Priority to domestic consumers’

Sharma said, ‘The government is making every possible effort to ensure that domestic consumers do not face any inconvenience. Priority has been given to domestic consumers and the supply of domestic LPG cylinders is being maintained accordingly. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has allowed industries, hotels, restaurants and other establishments in NCR, which includes Delhi, to temporarily use biomass and RDF pellets in place of natural gas for a month.

‘Increase in domestic LPG production’

He said, domestic production has been continuously increased. Initially it has been increased from 10 percent to 25 percent, then to 28 percent and now to 31 percent. It has also been clarified that in urban areas there is a minimum gap of 25 days between the last delivery and the next LPG booking, while in rural areas there is a maximum gap of 45 days. Consumers have been advised to keep this time limit in mind while booking.

Good news has emerged for India amidst the LPG crisis arising due to the war between US-Iran. India’s two LPG ships Shivalik and Nanda have passed safely from the Strait of Hormuz. This information has been given by the Ministry of Ports Shipping and Waterways. From India’s point of view, the safe return of these two LPG carrier ships is important because the problems of gas and oil are increasing in the country.

LPG ships passed safely from Strait of Hormuz

Iran’s Ambassador Mohammad Fatahali had indicated this on Friday (March 13). He had said, India will be given a safe route for the movement of oil through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the most important sea routes in the world. After this, both the ships came out safely from the Strait of Hormuz and are moving towards India.

Will reach India on 16-17 March

According to Rajesh Kumar Sinha, Chief Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, ‘There were 24 Indian flag ships in the Persian Gulf located west of the Strait of Hormuz, out of which two LPG carrier ships Shivalik and Nanda have emerged safely from the Strait of Hormuz. Both ships are moving towards India. He told, there is about 92,700 metric tons of LPG on both the ships. It will arrive at Mundra and Kandla ports on March 16 and 17.

’22 Indian ships stranded in the Strait of Hormuz’

Rajesh Sinha said, there were 24 Indian ships in the Persian Gulf, out of which two Shivalik and Nanda have left safely. Now there are 22 ships left, on which there are 611 sailors. He also said that all Indian sailors are completely safe.

23 thousand Indian sailors in the Gulf region

There were four Indian ships in the Gulf of Oman, east of the Strait of Hormuz, after the departure of one, there are three Indian flag ships left there. There are 76 Indian sailors on board. Talking about the entire Gulf region, about 23,000 Indian sailors are working on different ships, which include merchant ships and offshore ships.

Big relief for India

The return of these two LPG ships will bring great relief to India. Long queues of people are being seen from many states of India to get LPG cylinders. However, the government is continuously taking necessary steps to deal with this crisis. From March 5 till now, domestic production of LPG has increased by 31 percent. Apart from this, rapid raids are being conducted in different states to stop black marketing and hoarding of gas. Central government supplied LPG
It is advised not to pay attention to the rumors being spread regarding this and avoid panic buying.
