After months of long conflict, now a deal has finally been reached between America and Iran. Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian have formally signed the MoU. According to American and Iranian officials, the Presidents of both the countries signed this MOU on Wednesday (June 17). After this, this agreement has come into effect with immediate effect.

According to a US official, President Trump has also officially signed the hard copy of the US-Iran Agreement during a dinner with Macron at the Palace of Versailles in France. He said that a copy of the signed agreement has also been sent to Iran and the countries conducting mediation.

US Vice President JD Vance and Iran’s chief negotiator Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf signed the MoU electronically on Sunday. American officials say that after the signing of the MOU, the conflict that has been going on between the two countries for almost 4 months has ended.

The schedule of meeting in Geneva is still decided

Despite the deal being signed, US-Iran officials are scheduled to meet in Geneva on Friday. Iranian officials said the purpose of Friday’s meeting in Switzerland is not to sign a deal. However, the final decision on whether this meeting will actually take place or not is expected to be taken in the next few hours.

What did Ismail Baghai say?

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghai said that Tehran should be allowed to sell its oil without any transportation or insurance restrictions. He should have full access to the income generated from it. He also said that America has expressed its commitment to remove the obstacles in Iran’s access to its frozen assets.

After this deal, Iran says that for the next 60 days, both the countries will have to exercise restraint and avoid any political, economic or military steps that would have a negative impact on the implementation of the agreement.
