Iran also claims to target F-16, F-35, F-15E

On Saturday (21 March), Iran claimed to have shot down an Israeli F-16 fighter jet. Its footage was also released by Iranian media. Responding to this, Israel said that during the operation the plane was hit by a surface-to-air missile. However, any kind of damage was denied. Earlier, Iran had claimed to have targeted F-35 fighter aircraft in central Iran. However, this could not be confirmed.

Also on March 5, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had claimed that it had shot down an American F-15E strike fighter near the country’s south-western border. In this war that started last month, Israel and America are continuously targeting the top leadership of Iran. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian confirmed on March 18 that his Intelligence Minister Ismail Khatib had been killed. Earlier Israel had said that Khatib was killed in air strikes last night.
