US Iran Deal: Major progress appears to be being made towards ending the ongoing tension between America and Iran and normalizing global energy supply. According to a report by Fox News, America is planning to remove the sanctions imposed on Iran along with reopening the Strait of Hormuz. The work of removing landmines laid in this important sea route will be done in the next phase.

Important part of Strait of Hormuz agreement

Recent statements by the US administration and regional leaders indicate that Washington and Tehran are close to agreeing on a Framework Agreement. The agreement aims to end months of conflict and restore maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important energy transportation routes.

American stance will soften in exchange for opening the Strait of Hormuz

According to Fox News information, reopening the Strait of Hormuz will be a major part of the proposed agreement. According to Reuters report, a US official said that under the agreement, Iran will have to open the strait and in return the US will soften its naval blockade.

Also read: What issues were agreed upon in the deal between Iran and America? Donald Trump said this about nuclear weapons

De-mining process will be done in the next phase

While talking to journalists, the American official said that this process will move forward together. He told that after the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and relaxation of the blockade, in the next phase the work of removing mines from the sea route i.e. de-mining will be done.

Hormuz is very important for global energy supply

The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the most important maritime trade routes in the world. A large part of the oil and gas coming out of the Gulf region reaches the global markets through this route. This waterway remained a major center of tension during the recent conflict.

The goal is to restore maritime security and movement.

The purpose of the proposed agreement is not only to open the waterway but also to ensure maritime security and restore unhindered movement of ships. Under this, a plan is also being made to remove security risks and dangers related to mines.

Trump expressed the possibility of an agreement on Sunday

Both US President Donald Trump and Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif have indicated that this agreement may be finalized soon. According to the Associated Press, Trump said Saturday that the agreement was “set for signing on Sunday.”

Shahbaz Sharif said – agreement can be reached in 24 hours

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also said that this agreement to end the ongoing conflict in the Middle East is now closer than ever and it can be finalized within the next 24 hours.

Preparation of electronic signature

Shahbaz Sharif said that preparations are underway to sign the agreement through electronic means. After this, technical level meetings will be organized next week, in which issues related to the implementation of the agreement will be discussed.

US-Iran Tensions: Amidst the ongoing tension between America and Iran, the US Army has taken a major military step and fired a Hellfire missile at a commercial cargo ship. The US military claims that the ship ignored repeated warnings and tried to proceed towards an Iranian port despite the US naval blockade.

A ceasefire is in force between America and Iran, but tension still remains in the region. Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has warned that if diplomatic efforts fail, the US military is fully prepared to take military action against Iran again.

Engine room was targeted

According to US Central Command (CENTCOM), the Gambian-flagged cargo ship “Lian Star” was en route to an Iranian port via the Gulf of Oman. The US military claimed that the ship was traveling in international waters, but was in violation of the US blockade.

Centcom said that warnings were given more than 20 times overnight to stop the ship, but the ship did not respond. After this, American forces targeted the engine room of the ship by firing Hellfire missiles, due to which the speed of the ship stopped.

The ship is no longer heading towards Iran

After the attack, Centcom said that the ship is no longer heading towards Iran. However, the US Army did not give any detailed information about the current status of the ship. According to the report of the Associated Press, an American official associated with this operation said that the ship is currently in a state of drift in the Gulf of Oman and American soldiers have not taken any action after boarding it.

‘Return to your country immediately’, Amit Shah’s warning to the intruder, Chicken Neck land handed over to BSF

Sixth ship stopped under US blockade

This action has been taken under the US naval blockade started in April. According to the US military, so far six ships have been stopped while trying to break the blockade. According to the report, one of these ships was later allowed to proceed, while the route of more than 116 ships was changed and sent in other directions. On Friday, Centcom said that at least 115 ships have been diverted since the blockade came into force.

Controversy increases over Strait of Hormuz

The US imposed the blockade after Iran effectively blocked traffic through the Strait of Hormuz after the current conflict began. The conflict began following attacks by the US and Israel on February 28, following which there has been continued tension over maritime traffic and security in the region.

Uncertainty over the future of the ceasefire

Amidst this military action, there is uncertainty regarding the ceasefire implemented between America and Iran. The ceasefire has largely been in place since the beginning of April, but talks are now underway between the two countries for a possible extension of 60 days. There are plans to continue talks on Iran’s disputed nuclear program during this period.

Trump held a high level meeting

According to the report, US President Donald Trump held a meeting with his senior advisors in the Situation Room of the White House on Friday. However, it has not yet been decided whether any agreement will be approved to extend the ceasefire and restore maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has clarified that no final agreement has been reached yet. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Saturday that if diplomatic efforts fail, the US military is fully prepared to launch military operations against Iran again.

Iran Crisis: Iran is currently facing serious economic and military pressure. America’s naval blockade around the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman has had a major impact on its oil exports.

According to the report of Times of India, Iran has suffered a loss of about 4.8 billion dollars due to this action. The blockage has added further pressure to Iran’s already weak economy and also shows that its reliance on clandestine shipments and regional maritime strategies to avoid sanctions is now weakening.

Siege implemented from April 13, diplomatic efforts failed

According to reports, America imposed this siege after diplomatic talks failed on April 13. Due to this, Iran’s oil transportation through one of the world’s most important sea routes has stopped to a great extent.

US officials say that the purpose of this operation is to maintain economic pressure and weaken Iran’s ability to fund regional activities. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell quoted press secretary Joel Valdez as saying that the siege is “in full force” and is having a “decisive impact” on Iran’s financial networks.

Differences increase within Iran, debate of dialogue vs confrontation

The effect of this economic pressure is also visible on Iran’s internal politics. Analysts say that some factions within the government are in favor of adopting a tough stance against America, while some factions want to restart talks to reduce tensions.

Domestic conditions worsened, shortage of essential goods

The situation inside the country also seems to be worsening. It has been said in the reports that there is a shortage of foreign exchange and even essential goods have to be rationed, due to which the common people are being directly affected.

America’s tough stance, claims ‘complete control’

US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant gave a strong statement, saying that the US has “complete control” of the strait and that the siege will continue until “normal traffic” on the sea lanes is restored. His statement drew a sharp reaction from Iran, due to which the rhetoric between the two countries has become more aggressive.

Accident in Iran, 14 Revolutionary Guards died

Meanwhile, Iran has also suffered a major internal shock. Fourteen members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were killed while defusing explosives left over from previous attacks in the northwestern province of Zanjan. This incident shows that the danger of conflict is not limited to the war zone, but life-threatening situations persist in other areas as well.

Regional situation tense, indications for talks also

The situation in the entire area still remains very tense. Although US President Donald Trump has said that direct war with Iran is over for now, America is continuously tightening sanctions and increasing military presence. At the same time, Iran has indicated its readiness for talks, but has made it clear that it will not accept the terms under any pressure.

US Iran War: While on one hand US President Donald Trump has claimed that the ongoing conflict with Iran is nearing an end, on the other hand he has made the situation more complicated by increasing military presence in the Middle East. The US administration has decided to send about 10,000 additional troops to the Middle East.

According to the Pentagon, about 6,000 of these soldiers have been deployed through the USS George HW Bush, while the remaining 4,200 soldiers will arrive with the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Apart from this, military strength is being further strengthened by adding these new troops to the approximately 50,000 American troops already deployed in the Gulf region.

deployment of aircraft carriers

America has also increased its naval strength. Three large aircraft carriers, USS Abraham Lincoln, USS Gerald R. Ford and USS George HW Bush, are stationed near the Gulf, ready for operation at any time.

This step has been taken at a time when there is tension over the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz and no concrete consensus has been reached yet on the issue of uranium enrichment. The fixed deadline of April 22 has also passed without any result, although talks are continuing. Trump continues to say that the war will end soon, but he also hints that “the world will see some shocking things in the next two days.” This dual stance has made the situation more uncertain.

What are the signs?

This step of President Donald Trump clearly shows that on one hand America is talking about diplomatic solution, while on the other hand it is also making full preparations for any possible military conflict. The situation in the Middle East is still extremely sensitive, where both the hope for peace and the danger of a major conflict exist simultaneously.
