Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khwaja Asif got involved in controversies during an interview, when he was questioned about the social media account of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. But in an interview to British-American journalist Mehdi Hasan, he said that in reality Imran Khan is running an account from Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.

In the interview, Hasan mentioned Imran Khan’s recent court trial, in which his lawyer said that the hearing took place on WhatsApp and the judge and Imran could not listen to each other. When Asif was asked if it was just, he denied it and said, “This has not happened. Imran Khan is running the Twitter (X) account.” Hasan retorted, “A few days ago you said that it is operating from India.”
