Many people waking up in America on Saturday (January 3, 2026) may have felt a feeling of déjà vu. However, the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores is a reminder of an earlier era of US foreign policy.

At that time, the United States had launched an operation inside a Latin American country at midnight, the purpose of which was to capture the leader of that country under the pretext that he was wanted in American courts on drug charges. The date of this American operation was December 20, 1989, the country was Panama and the wanted person was General Manuel Noriega.

American soldiers detained the couple – Trump

US President Donald Trump announced that in an overnight operation, US troops detained President Maduro and his wife in the Venezuelan capital Caracas and evacuated them safely. The incident occurred after Trump mentioned the extraordinary military operation, which involved US air, ground and naval forces.

The US has made serious allegations against Maduro and his wife regarding drugs and now a case will be filed against them. Maduro was impeached in 2020 on charges of leading a terrorism-narcotics-related campaign, while his wife was included in a new indictment along with four other named Venezuelans.

What did the US Secretary of State say?

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that he does not expect any further action in Venezuela. Trump later said that he was not afraid of the presence of American troops. Whatever happens, as an expert on US-Latin American relations I see the US campaign in Venezuela as a marked change from the recent past.

Removing a foreign leader from power—even if he holds power through questionable electoral means—is a form of ad hoc imperialism and a clear indication of the aggressive policies of the Trump administration. It abandons the diplomatic approach that has been the hallmark of inter-American relations for decades. In fact, since the collapse of the Soviet Union in the early 1990s, the ideological hold on potential spheres of influence in the region has weakened.

Indirect intervention was carried out in South America

Lyndon Johnson had a plan in case the 1964 coup in Brazil failed. optional There was a plan. However, the coup was successful. Richard Nixon weakened the socialist government in Chile from 1970, but he did not plot a coup against President Salvador Allende in 1973.

What will happen to Venezuela after Maduro?

The U.S. detention of Maduro makes clear that the U.S. military’s months-long campaign of attacks on alleged narcotics vessels and oil tankers was always aimed at regime change, not any real reduction in the amount of narcotics reaching U.S. shores.

The biggest concern for many regional governments in Latin America and policy experts in Washington will be whether the White House has considered the consequences of this latest tension.

Trump wants to avoid a war like Iraq

Trump undoubtedly wants to avoid another disaster like the Iraq War and so would want to limit any continued presence of the US military and law enforcement, but typically US forces leading Latin American regime change remain on the ground to install a friendly leader and possibly oversee a stable transition or elections.

This is not possible by forcefully removing Maduro from Caracas. According to Venezuela’s Constitution, their Vice President must take office and Vice President Delcy Rodriguez is demanding proof that her President is alive. He is not an anti-Maduro leader.

America attacks Venezuela

The US launched massive attacks on Venezuela late on Friday (January 2, 2026) and said that the country’s President Nicolas Maduro has been captured and taken out of the country. Maduro and his wife were captured at night from their home near the military base. He is being taken on an American warship to New York, where he was to face criminal charges. US President Donald Trump said on Fox News on Saturday (January 3, 2026) that the US is now assessing further steps for Venezuela.

US President gave statement

US President Donald Trump said the US would temporarily govern Venezuela and exploit its vast oil reserves to sell to other countries. Trump made this comment a few hours after the US military attacked and captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife and took them out of the country.

This action of America is the culmination of months of increasing pressure on oil-rich Venezuela. The attack, the result of months of secret planning, is being seen as the US’s most aggressive action to force regime change since the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

America’s President Donald Trump is known for his sharp, contradictory and disorganized statements. He has often made such statements which have shocked everyone. Similarly, Trump has once again done something similar, which left all his supporters completely surprised. In fact, US President Donald Trump surprised his supporters during a rally held in North Carolina when he suddenly mentioned the undergarments of his wife Melania Trump.

Trump deviated from economic issues in the rally

The rally held in North Carolina originally focused on economic issues like inflation and reducing drug prices, but for some time the focus of the rally shifted away from policy discussions. During this, Donald Trump, while referring to the FBI raid at his home Mar-a-Lago in Florida in the year 2022, said that federal agents opened my wife’s (Melania Trump) wardrobe and searched all its drawers. He accused FBI agents of disorganizing the wardrobe.

What did Trump say about Melania’s clothes?

Trump: Her (Melania’s) undergarments, sometimes to referred to as panties…. I think she steams them.pic.twitter.com/KESNIjMDh2

After this, Trump made random comments on the way First Lady Melania Trump organizes her clothes. He said, ‘Melania is a very well-mannered person and everything is perfect for her. Their undergarments are folded perfectly. They are so perfect that I think she even steams them.

Trump criticized FBI raid several times

In fact, the FBI raid in Mar-a-Lago in August 2022 was part of a federal investigation related to the maintenance of confidential documents after Donald Trump left the White House. Trump has criticized this raid several times and has called it politically motivated.

What Donald Trump said amid increasing tension with Venezuela cannot be underestimated as a warning. US President Donald Trump said on Saturday (November 29, 2025) that the airspace over and around Venezuela should be considered completely closed.

“All airlines, pilots, drug and human traffickers, please consider the airspace over and around Venezuela completely closed,” Trump said in a post shared on Truth Social. The increasing tension between the two countries and this statement of Trump is no less than a threat to Venezuela.

Pentagon carried out more than 20 attacks on drug ships

Chinese news agency Xinhua said that since the beginning of September, the Pentagon has carried out more than 20 attacks on alleged drug ships in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific, killing more than 80 people. The US military presence in the Caribbean was further strengthened in mid-November, when the USS Gerald R. Ford, a large aircraft carrier, was deployed at a level not seen before in three decades.

At a Thanksgiving ceremony organized for American soldiers on Thursday (November 27, 2025) night, Trump had said that America could very soon take ground action against the drug trafficking network in Venezuela.

Venezuelan President denies allegation after Trump’s threat

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has denied any involvement in drug trafficking and accused Washington of making an excuse for changing the government in Venezuela. The New York Times (NYT), citing people associated with the matter, said on Friday (November 28, 2025) that Trump had spoken to the Venezuelan President on the phone last week.

According to the report, the two leaders discussed the possibility of meeting face to face, although no arrangements have been made yet. It was also reported that both the White House and the Venezuelan government declined to comment on this conversation.

US by ,Official Cartel de los Souls, declared a foreign terrorist organization

According to reports, on November 24, the US declared the ‘Official Cartel de los Souls’ a foreign terrorist organization and imposed sanctions on the group, which it claimed was led by Maduro. In a statement, Venezuela said that it opposes such a step and called it an absurd lie aimed at illegally interfering in its internal affairs.

Axios, citing an unidentified source on Monday (November 24, 2025), said that Trump has made up his mind to talk directly to Maduro. It was said that there was more talk about talks and less about bombing. Axios quoted an official familiar with the matter as saying, “Right now no one is planning to go in and shoot him or remove him (Maduro) from office. I won’t say it will never happen, but that’s not the plan right now.”

According to the report, this decision of Trump is an important step in gunboat diplomacy (threatening diplomacy) and it may indicate that missile attacks or direct military action from America is not going to happen right now.

US President Donald Trump, taking credit for stopping the war between India and Pakistan, has claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called him and said, ‘We will not go to war.’ Trump says that between May 7 and 10, to stop the attacks being carried out by India and Pakistan on each other, he had threatened to impose 350 percent tariff and end trade, after which both the countries got nervous.

Trump has many times reiterated his claim that he had helped in calming the tension between India and Pakistan, while India has consistently denied the claim of any third party interference. Addressing the US-Saudi Investment Forum on Wednesday (November 19, 2025), he said, ‘…I am good at resolving conflicts and have always been so. I have done very good work in this direction in the last few years and even before. I am talking about different wars… India, Pakistan… they were going to attack with nuclear weapons.

Trump claimed that he had told both the neighboring countries having nuclear weapons that they can continue the war but I am imposing 350 percent tariffs on both the countries. They will no longer be able to trade with America. Trump claimed that both India and Pakistan had asked him not to do so.

The US President says that he told both the countries, ‘I am going to do this (impose tariffs)… I do not want you guys to use nuclear weapons against each other, kill millions of people and blow nuclear dust over Los Angeles.’

Trump said both countries were fully prepared and had told US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant that he would impose 350 percent tariffs to end (the conflict) and if both countries stop the war, we will make a good trade deal. Trump said, ‘No other president does this … five out of eight were resolved because of war, trade and tariffs. I did it.’

He said that Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called him and thanked him in front of White House Chief of Staff Susie Wills for saving the lives of millions of people. Trump then claimed that Prime Minister Modi called him and said, ‘Our work is done.’ I said, ‘What’s your work done?’ Trump claimed that Modi replied, ‘We will not go to war.’

He said he then thanked Modi and said, ‘Let’s make a deal.’ Trump also claimed that he saved millions and billions of people in many other wars. India had launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 under which terrorist infrastructure was targeted in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack. 26 people were killed in the Pahalgam attack.

US President Donald Trump has once again given himself credit for stopping the war between India and Pakistan. He has done this many times, but this time he has made a new claim. He says that he had threatened both the countries to impose 350 percent tariff and stop trade, after which both the countries got scared. Trump also said that after stopping the fighting, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif called him and thanked him and said that he had saved the lives of millions of people.

Trump made these claims while addressing the US-Saudi Investment Forum on Wednesday (November 19, 2025). He said, ‘I am good at resolving disputes and I have always done so – I have done a very good job in these matters over the years.’

Donald Trump said, ‘India and Pakistan – they were going to attack each other’s nuclear weapons. I said okay, you can, but I will impose 350-350 percent tariff on both the countries and America will not trade with you anymore. Trump said that both countries appealed to him not to do so. Trump said, ‘He said- No, no you can’t do that. I said- I am going to do it. Come back to me and I will remove it. I will not let you use nuclear weapons on each other, kill millions of people and send nuclear dust all the way to Los Angeles.

Trump said, ‘They said- we don’t like it. I said, I don’t care whether you like it or not. Trump claimed that he had threatened to impose 350 percent tariffs and end trade to stop the war. He said no other president would ever do this. Joe Biden may not even know which countries we are talking about. They don’t know anything. Trump laughed loudly while saying this.

Trump said that Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif called him and thanked him and said that the American President has saved the lives of millions of people. Shahbaz Sharif told Trump that you don’t even know these people, yet they saved the lives of so many people.

In retaliation to the Pahalgam terrorist attack in April, on May 7, India had launched Operation Sindoor to destroy the terrorist bases in Pakistan, in which 9 terrorist camps were badly destroyed. Pakistan was badly shocked by this action of India and it tried unsuccessfully to attack military bases in many cities of India. After this, tension between the two countries increased and both sides attacked each other, on May 10, India and Pakistan agreed on ceasefire.

US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday (11 November 2025) that his administration is very close to finalizing a Fair Trade Deal with India. He indicated that the high import tariffs imposed on India can be reduced in the coming times.

In response to questions from journalists, Trump said, “Tariffs on India are very high because of Russian oil, but now India has significantly reduced the purchase of oil from Russia.” We will reduce the tariff at the earliest appropriate time. His statement has come at a time when America had recently increased the duty on some products coming from India from 25% to 50%. The reason for this was said to be India’s ongoing oil import from Russia, whereas India has always been saying that it takes decisions based on its energy security interests.

So right now, they don’t love me, but they’ll love us again. We’re getting a fair deal, just a fair trade deal. We had pretty unfair trade deals…But we’re… pic.twitter.com/r93gmaU7xk

Trump’s comment on oil trade between India and Russia
Trump claimed that India has now significantly reduced the purchase of oil from Russia. However, the Government of India had already made it clear that its policy is based on energy procurement in line with national interests. Earlier, Trump had also said that he had received assurance from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stop oil trade with Russia, but India had not confirmed any such conversation.

New chapter towards fair trade
Trump said in his statement that in the past decades, trade agreements between America and India have always been one-sided, due to which American companies suffered losses. “Now his administration is preparing an agreement that will equally balance the interests of both countries.” He said, “We are making a new agreement with India which will be completely different from before. This will prove beneficial for both the countries.”

US President Donald Trump has once again claimed that the peace made between India and Pakistan in May was possible only because of his stern warning. Trump said that he had given a clear message to both the neighboring countries. If they do not stop mutual conflict, America will not make any trade agreement with them.

Trump again repeated his old claim

During the America Business Forum held in Miami, Trump said, “I was negotiating a trade deal with both India and Pakistan. Then I got the news that a war-like situation had arisen between the two countries. Seven planes have fallen, the eighth is also badly damaged. Then I said, “If you guys fight, I will not do business with anyone.”

Trump jokingly said that all this happened because of his tariff policy. He further said, “I explained to them that both are nuclear power countries, trade is better than war. The very next day I got a call that both the countries have agreed on a ceasefire. I said – great, now do business.”

India rejected Trump’s claim

This is not the first time that Trump has called himself a peace messenger in the India-Pakistan conflict. According to reports, he has repeated this claim more than 60 times in the last six months that because of him the tension between the two countries reduced. However, India has completely rejected this claim and said that no third country is involved in its bilateral affairs.

Before May, India had launched ‘Operation Vermillion’, which was in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Under this mission, terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoK were targeted. This action, which lasted for four days, ended on May 10, when both the countries announced a ceasefire.

Trump further said that he has ended the old disputes not only between India and Pakistan but also between many other countries. “Kosovo-Serbia, Congo-Rwanda, Armenia-Azerbaijan. Many such conflicts which were going on for decades, I resolved in an hour.” He said that America is maintaining peace on the strength of power and now no country wants to clash with America.

Amidst the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan after Operation Sindoor, US President Donald Trump has dropped a bomb by saying that Pakistan is engaged in conducting underground nuclear tests. Trump even claims that mild earthquakes are occurring due to these nuclear tests.

It is noteworthy that during Operation Sindoor, the Indian Air Force had destroyed at least three nuclear bases of Pakistan by attacking them with BrahMos missile. India attacked Pakistan’s Kirana Hills (Sargodha), Noor Khan Air Base and Rahim Yar Khan Base and carried out heavy bombing on the night of 9-10.

Pakistan’s nuclear blackmailing exposed

Pakistan’s Nuclear Command and Control Center was completely destroyed in these attacks by India. This is the reason why Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Army had said that after these attacks, Pakistan’s nuclear blackmailing has been exposed. Amidst these claims of India, Trump’s statement is being considered very important.

Trump, who returned to his country after meeting Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea, has made a big revelation to a TV channel about the nuclear tests taking place around the world. Trump said that countries like Russia, China, North Korea and Pakistan are conducting nuclear tests, hence America is also going to conduct nuclear tests after 33 years.

US President’s claim regarding nuclear test

On the argument of the channel anchor that they (Russia, China etc.) are testing missiles capable of carrying nuclear weapons and not nuclear tests, Trump said that not all countries are as open-minded as America. According to Trump, there is no reporting about nuclear tests in these countries.

The US President also said that these tests are done underground, due to which no one is aware of this, but Trump definitely said that during these tests, slight vibrations (shocks) definitely occur in the earth.

Tremors on Pakistan-Afghanistan border

The special thing is that during Operation Sindoor, mild earthquake tremors were felt for several days on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. During that time, it was feared that these vibrations could be due to Pakistan’s nuclear test, but no concrete evidence was revealed.

America and Pakistan have come very close after Operation Sindoor. On Trump’s invitation, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir visited the White House. In such a situation, there is a strong possibility that either Munir or Shahbaz has given the information about the nuclear test to Trump.

Former CIA officer disclosed

Recently, a former officer of America’s intelligence agency CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) had revealed that America is responsible for handling Pakistan’s nuclear weapons. This CIA officer has been posted in Pakistan for many years.

According to the latest report (2025) of SIPRI (Stockholm International Peace Research Institute), a global think tank that keeps track of nuclear weapons around the world, Pakistan has 170 nuclear weapons in its arsenal. According to the report, India has slightly more nuclear weapons than Pakistan i.e. 172.

12,405 nuclear weapons worldwide

In the year 2018, PM Modi himself, on the first patrolling of the nuclear submarine INS Arihant, had informed about the country becoming a nuclear power in the nuclear triad i.e. water, land and sky. According to SIPRI, at present there are 12,405 nuclear weapons in the world.

Of these, Russia has the maximum of 5580 in its reserves. America is at second place with 5328 weapons and China (500) is at third place. England and France have 225 and 290 respectively, while North Korea has 50 and Israel has 90.

US President Donald Trump may hold a high-level meeting with Ahmed al-Shara at the White House on Sunday, where such a meeting between the leaders of America and Syria may be recorded for the first time. An administrative official said that the date of this meeting is likely to be November 10. Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir had also visited the White House, where Trump had praised them highly.

Visit of the first Syrian President
If the meeting is scheduled, it will be the first official visit to the White House by a Syrian president. No such formal announcement has been made yet, but the officer gave this information on the condition that his identity remains confidential.

Trump-Shara’s last meeting, reward on Syrian President
The last meeting of Trump and Shara was in Saudi Arabia in May this year. This was the first face-to-face meeting of the two leaders between America and Syria in 25 years. A bounty of US$10 million was previously offered on Ahmed al-Shara because he was believed to have links to the terrorist group.

possible agreements
The official said that during the visit, Shara and the US may sign an agreement that may include conditions for Syria to join the US-led coalition against ISIS under Shara’s leadership. Such an initiative would go a long way in reducing Syria’s long-standing international isolation.

political and regional meaning
This meeting is considered important from political and diplomatic point of view in the Middle East because Syria was in a state of civil war and isolation for decades. Trump’s meeting with Shara is being seen as a sign that America is now taking steps towards re-establishing and restoring peace in Syria.

US President Donald Trump is well known around the world for his strict and erratic behavior. No one can say when and what Trump will do. The proof of this is given by a video going viral on social media platforms, in which US President Donald Trump is seen dancing on the stage.

Actually, the video going viral on social media is of US President Trump’s recent visit to Japan. In which President Trump is seen in a very jolly mood. Even Trump is in such a light mood that he started dancing on the stage in Japan. The video of Trump dancing is being shared widely on the internet. At the same time, many people are also raising the question that what happened that Donald Trump started dancing on the stage.

Trump’s Michael Jackson avatar is trending

Trump dance with our US Navy in Japan! pic.twitter.com/Gsm3XJT1ot

In the video going viral on social media platforms, President Donald Trump is seen surrounded by US Navy soldiers while heavy music is playing in the background. At the same time, President Trump standing on the stage suddenly starts dancing. Everyone present there is surprised to see his Michael Jackson dancing moves, but soon after this, US Navy officers are seen cheering loudly for President Trump.

What was Trump celebrating?

US President Donald Trump has imposed heavy tariffs on many countries of the world. Apart from this, various types of sanctions have also been imposed, which also includes 50 percent tariff imposed on India for buying Russian energy. Due to this, many countries of the world are under great tension. But on the other hand, Trump is roaming and dancing in a very jolly mood.

However, this video of President Trump may be related to the agreement made during his visit to Japan. During Trump’s visit, bilateral agreements on many issues were finalized between America and Japan. Apart from this, a deal has also been finalized on a new US-Japan supply chain to reduce China’s dominance.
