After America’s exit from the deal, Iran started increasing nuclear activities. In 2015, during the tenure of Barack Obama, America had signed a nuclear deal. It had banned Iran’s nuclear activities for 15 years. In 2015, Iran had agreed to hand over all nuclear material.

According to Hindustan Times, Iran had sent 12.5 tons of its uranium to Russia. However, after three years of the deal, Trump took America out of it. He termed it one-sided. Trump himself had to face criticism from his national security advisors on this.

Iran extracted more uranium than expected, has a good stock

Here, when America turned away from the deal, Iran also started extracting more uranium than expected. He increased its stock. This brought him even closer to making a nuclear bomb. People investigating from the American side say that Iran has about half a ton of uranium, which has been enriched to very close to the level required for nuclear weapons. It is believed that some part of the material is kept in safe tunnels built under the ground.

According to reports, Iran has a total of 11 tons of uranium. If it is further refined then 100 nuclear bombs can be made from it. The main issue of discussion was Iran’s nuclear program and its uranium, but as the war escalated, the issues have now spread to missiles, tensions in the Middle East and the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran has refused to accept Trump’s conditions

Here, Trump wants to make a new agreement with Iran. He believes that this will be better than the 2015 agreement. Apart from this, America has two main demands. First, to reduce Iran’s uranium enrichment. Second, Iran should hand over its nuclear fuel stockpile accumulated over the last several years. Iran has rejected both these demands of America.
