The Indian government has issued a statement regarding the decision related to tariffs given by the US Supreme Court on Friday. It has been said that India is closely studying the development and impact of that decision of the US Supreme Court. The Supreme Court of America canceled the decision of US President Donald Trump in which he has imposed heavy tariffs on the countries of the world.

On this entire issue, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said that we paid attention to the US Supreme Court’s decision on tariffs yesterday. The President there has also held a press conference on this issue. Besides, the administration there has also taken some decisions. We are studying this carefully.

What did Union Minister Prahlad Joshi say?

On the decision of the US court, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi said that the Indian government will study the recent decision of the court regarding tariffs. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Foreign Minister S Jaishankar are looking into this matter.

Talking to journalists, the Union Minister said that I read in the media that the top court of America has issued an order in this matter. The Government of India will study it. If any kind of response needs to be given, it will be given. The Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of External Affairs are looking into this matter. He has refused to comment on this in any way.

What decision did the Supreme Court of America give?

The US Supreme Court on Friday declared Trump’s tariffs illegal. There were six judges in favor of this decision, while three were against it. It says that the Trump administration has used the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) enacted in 1977, as well as misused its powers by imposing heavy import tariffs.

This decision has been given by America’s Chief Justice John Roberts along with Justice Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett and three liberal judges. It says that IEEPA does not allow the President to impose tariffs. This power has been constitutionally given to Congress.

Trump criticized the decision of the US Supreme Court

The Supreme Court’s decision has been criticized by the US President. He has said that this is a very bad decision. Apart from this, Trump has announced to impose 10 percent global tariff under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974. It allows temporary import surcharge for up to 150 days.

US President Donald Trump has expressed deep disappointment over the Supreme Court’s cancellation of his tariff orders. He said that the court did not give any clarity on the future of the huge amount collected through tariffs in the last one year. In response to the questions of reporters at the White House, Trump said, ‘We have collected hundreds of billions of dollars. So I ask, what will happen with that money? There was no discussion on this at all.’ He further said, “Don’t you think they could have written a line whether the money should be kept or returned? Now perhaps this issue will be stuck in litigation for the next two years. This is a bad decision, as if it was not written by sensible people.’

It was not made clear in the Supreme Court’s decision whether the amount recovered as tariff would be returned or not. It is estimated that an amount of more than $175 billion may come under the ambit of refund claims. US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant has said that if refunds have to be given after the decision, then the Treasury Department is ready for it, but the Supreme Court also admitted that this process can be complicated.

Wouldn’t you think they would’ve put one sentence in there saying keep the money or don’t keep the money?” pic.twitter.com/BgG7nYuRyj

New 10 percent global tariff under section 122

Soon after the Supreme Court setback, Trump announced that he would sign a new executive order under Section 122 of the Federal Law, which would impose a global tariff of 10 percent. This will be in addition to the existing tariff. This step is being considered as the next phase of Trump’s aggressive trade policy. He said, ‘We may remain stuck in court for 5 years, but we will not back down.’

political reactions

While most Democrats welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision, Elizabeth Warren, the top Democrat on the Senate Banking Committee, warned that consumers and small businesses have no clear legal system to get back the amounts of tariffs already paid. This decision is not only a blow to the trade policy of the Trump administration, but also has a significant impact on the balance between the powers of the executive and the legislature.

US President Donald Trump has once again made a sharp statement about the emerging global alliance BRICS. Trump warned that if this group actually organized, it will end it very soon. Even before this, Trump had warned BRICS countries.

In a statement on Friday (July 19, 2025), Trump said, “If a group named BRICS actually becomes something, I will finish it very soon. We will not let anyone play a game from America.” Trump has threatened to impose 10% import duty on countries associated with BRICS. This fee will apply to those countries which, according to Trump, support anti-America policies. In early July, he made this tariff policy public.

Resolve to maintain dollar as ‘reserve currency’

Trump clearly stated that he would not allow the US dollar global currency status to weaken and will never apply the idea of Central Digital Currency (CBDC) in America. He said, “I will never accept digital dollars. It will eliminate America’s independent financial identity.”

What did BRICs say on Trump’s allegations?

BRICS has dismissed Trump’s allegations. The group says that its aim is to give a shared platform to developing countries, not to oppose America. BRICS countries include Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

The BRICS group also included new member countries like Iran and Indonesia, moving beyond Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa last year. At the BRICS summit held in Brazil, group leaders indirectly criticized the US military and trade policies.

Trump’s target at Brazil

Here, Trump has announced a 50% import duty for Brazil, which will be applicable from August. At the same time, the US has also started a formal investigation of Brazil’s business model, which has been described inappropriate.

Trump new tarfiis: The trade war has started once again. As part of his magnitude to create pressure, President Donald Trump has announced a new tariff over business partnership countries from Japan exporting US to South Korea. These rates have been kept from 25 percent to 40 percent, which will be implemented from next month i.e. August 1.

Confirming this on Monday, President Trump said that letters have been sent to many countries and warned that if business agreements are not done by August 1, new rates of increased customs will be implemented.

New pressure on business countries

The first letter was sent to Japan and South Korea. After that the same notice has been sent to other 12 countries, including- South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Laos, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Bosnia, Serbia, Kazakhstan and Tunisia.

Talking in the White Hout later, President Trump said that the new rates of Trump have been announced, although the talks will continue with some countries.
He said that the deal with Britain, China and Vietnam has already been approved and is close to the final agreement with India. Trump said that some other countries have not shown much interest in this trade deal, so they have been sent notice without any conversation.

How much tariff is on which countries

Among the 14 countries that Trump has announced a new tariff, 25 percent of tariffs can be placed on Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Kazakhstan and Tunisia. South Africa will be put on 30 percent, Laos and Myanmar 40 percent, Indonesia 32 percent, Bangladesh 35 percent, Thailand and Cambodia 36 percent, Bosnia and Herzegovina 30 percent tariffs will be imposed.

Trump has threatened that if these countries impose retaliation, then the US will again increase the tariff accordingly. Trump’s move has once again created new uncertainty in front of markets, policy makers and businessmen. All this is happening at a time when they are already struggling with the challenges of inflation, global slow economic speed and supply chain.

Significantly, on April 2 this year, President Trump announced a heavy tariff on the countries around the world for the first time. But later, applying a brake on him, he was given three months’ time and kept the base rate of 10 percent tariff. This was to be implemented on 9 July, but now Trump has announced to implement it from 1 August.

US India Trade Deal: After imposing heavy tariffs on 14 countries, US President Donald Trump has said that a major trade agreement between the US and India could be completed soon. He made this statement during a private dinner with Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu.

Trump said, “We are very close to an agreement with India.” He also informed that the US has already signed a trade agreement with the United Kingdom (UK) and China. This strategy of the Trump administration is considered to be a part of a large plan to re -shape global trade relations and establish America’s strength through tariffs.

America’s need to reduce trade deficit: Trump

The US President has said that the countries which do not accept the trade conditions of America, will soon have to face new tariffs i.e. tax. He said, “We have reached a good agreement with some countries. Some are going to happen soon with some, but we will send a new tax notice to the countries which will not accept our conditions.” Trump said that these taxes are necessary to reduce America’s trade deficit and strengthen the country’s economy and security.

Indo-US trade agreement may be held on 9 July

Sources told the news agency PTI that if the existing differences are resolved, the interim trade agreement between India and the US could be announced before 9 July. The two countries started a discussion on the bilateral trade agreement – BTA in February this year, which targets to complete the first phase by September -October. At the moment, the two countries are seriously trying to finalize an interim trade deal, so that the path of the final agreement can be easier.

New us tarifs 2025: US President Donald Trump has announced to impose new business tax (tariff) on 14 countries on Monday (July 8, 2025). The highest 40 percent fee has been levied on Myanmar and Laos. These new rules will be applicable from August 1.

Trump gave information about these tariffs on his social media platform Truth social. He informed that official letters related to this decision have been sent to the leaders of all countries. Trump described it as a new wave of tariff letters.

Trump gave this warning of 14 countries

Trump has warned in a strict tone in the official letters sent to 14 countries that if they increase tariffs (fees) on the US under revenge, then America will add more tax. He clearly wrote, “If you increase your tariff for any reason, the more you have increased, the more additional tax on it will be added to it.”

Trump told why tariff is necessary for America

He also said that these new tariffs are necessary so that those years old wrong policies can be improved in which a huge trade deficit was imposed on America. According to Trump, these policies have included both tariffs and non-tariff bottlenecks. Trump said, “This trade deficit on America is not only a big threat to our economy, but also for national security.”

Why did Trump choose Japan and South Korea first?

When the White House Press Secretary Caroline Lewitt was asked why these two countries were first selected, he said, “This is the privilege of the President. He selected the countries he considers appropriate.” Caroline further stated that the Trump administration is close to finalizing the agreement with several other business partners. He said, “The President wants these deals to prove to be the best for America.”

How much tax on which countries?

1. Myanmar- 40%
2. Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Laos)- 40%
3. Cambodia- 36%
4. Thailand- 36%
5. Bangladesh- 35%
6. Serbia- 35%
7. Indonesia- 32%
8. South Africa- 30%
9. Bosnia and Herzegovina- 30%
10. Japan- 25%
11. Kazakhstan- 25%
12. Malaysia- 25%
13. South Korea- 25%
14. Tunisia- 25%

US Trade Policy: US President Donald Trump made an important announcement on the social media platform on Sunday (July 07, 2025). He informed that agreements and letters related to tariffs (fees) with various countries of America will be implemented today from July 7.

Trump wrote in the post, “I am very happy to declare that tariff letters and agreements in the United States, along with various countries of the world, will be sent and implemented on Monday, July 7, at 12 noon (Eastern Time).”

Us President Donald Trump Posts on his Truth Social, “I am please to announs that the united states tarif letters, and/or deals, with various counTries from Around the World, 12:00 PM (Eastern), Monday, July 7th. ” pic.twitter.com/xambnvwww8al

What does this decision of Trump mean?

It is clear from this decision of the US President that the Trump administration is going to strengthen its hold on international trade. Although it has not been clarified with which countries will be compromised or which products will apply to the tariffs, it is believed to have an impact on China, European Union and other major trading partners.

Donald Trump made this announcement in April

President Donald Trump announced in April a few months ago that many countries will now be imposed additional tax with 10% base tariff, which can be up to 50% in some cases. However, before implementing these more tariffs, the Trump administration gave 90 days time so that the scope of talks would remain. This deferment is now ending on 9 July.

Suspense still on Indo-US trade deal

No trade agreement has been reached between America and India so far. Despite the constant pressure by the Trump administration, the talks between the two countries have not reached any conclusion.

At the same time, diplomats of the European Union (EU) say that they too have not been able to reach any final agreement with America. Meanwhile, the Trump government has announced to impose 26 percent mutual tariff on India. Trump has made it clear that the countries who have already signed the trade letters sent to America will have to pay the tariff.

What is the Indo-US trade agreement stuck on?

India wants more access to the US market for its textile, leather and shoe industries in this deal. On the other hand, the US wants India to open its agriculture and dairy sector for American companies.

Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) said on Tuesday, April 8, that it has received information that the US has threatened to impose 50% additional fees on China. The Ministry strongly opposed this threat, saying, “If the US increases the fee, China will firmly retaliate to protect its rights and interests.”

China said that America’s plan to impose ‘reciperook tariff’ is an attempt to create baseless and unilateral pressure. The Ministry also clarified that whatever steps taken by China are completely legal and justified and its purpose is to protect the interests of its country’s sovereignty, security and development.

 America’s blackmail policy & nbsp;

Ministry spokesperson said, "The US threatening to increase the fee is based on a major wrong step and it again reveals the US policy of blackmail. China will never accept it. If America is adamant on its stubbornness, then China will fight till the last. ‘

China also reiterated that no one is going to win in the trade war and there is no solution to protectionism. China appealed to the US to immediately improve its wrong policies, remove all unilateral fees and stop pressing China’s economy and trade. China also said that both countries should resolve their differences through equal dialogue on the basis of mutual respect. & Nbsp;

 what is the case & nbsp;

US President Donald Trump posted on social media, saying that China has imposed an additional 34 percent fee on the high fee already imposed. Trump accused China of unfair trade practices, such as illegal subsidy and currency manipulation. He warned that if a country imposes new fees on America, it will answer with more high tariffs than before.

Donald Trump Tariff Announcement Live: US President Donald Trump is going to announce the Risiprockal tariff (mutual fee) in a while. White House Press Secretary Caroline Lewitt gave this information. According to a report by news agency Bloomberg, Lewitt told reporters on Tuesday, April 1, ‘According to my knowledge, the tariff will be announced tomorrow. These will be implemented immediately. President Trump had been indicating this for a long time. ‘

2 April will apply to all countries Risiprochl tariff

US President Donald Trump has decided to implement the Receiproke Tariff (mutual fee) policy from 2 April. Trump is calling this day ‘Liberation Day’. He recently said that this tariff will apply to all countries without any exception. Trump’s announcement comes at a time when India and America are talking on concession in fees for trade agreement.

Trump wants to stop loss to America

Trump believes that America has a huge trade deficit due to lack of equal fees. He says that this new tariff will protect the American economy from unfair global competition and is part of his plan to reinforce the US. It is not yet clear how America will apply this fee and on what basis it will be calculated. This is the reason why it is becoming difficult for other countries to make a strategy to deal with this new tariff.

Preparation to make America manufacturing superpower

White House Press Secretary Caroline Lewitt was asked if the new tariff could harm the American economy, they rejected it completely. They said, "This will not happen. This scheme will be effective. President Trump has a magnificent advisory team, which has been working on the subject for decades." According to Levit, full attention is being paid to making the US a manufacturing superpower again and bringing back the golden age of the country.

Us tariff on russia: 50 senators (Republicans and Democrats) have proposed a new strict economic sanctions against Russia in the US Senate. Its main objective is to make a huge impact on Russia’s energy sale. According to a report by Bloomberg, the draft bill states that if Russia denies peace talks with Ukraine or breaks an agreement, its oil, gas and uranium will be imposed 500% tariff. The US is planning new sanctions to economically weaken Russia.

The Russian-Ukraine War continues since February 2022. America wants Russia to attend peace talks as soon as possible. For this, many economic sanctions have already been imposed on Russia, but Russia is still earning a big income from the sale of oil and gas. However, to support Ukraine, the US wants Russia’s economic backbone to be broken. Because of this, he is going to decide to put a tariff.

Russia’s economy
The large part of Russia’s economy depends on the sale of oil and gas. For this, America, Europe and other countries are trying to impose heavy taxes to prevent buying oil and gas from Russia. If buying crude oil from Russia becomes expensive, then it will be difficult for other countries to trade with Russia. Let us know that Donald Trump had imposed heavy tariffs on many countries in his last term, which led to the trade war started. This can be a political and economic decision for America, which will give it an edge over Russia.

The news is being updated …
