America’s fast bowler Shadley Van Schalkwyk continues to be in the headlines in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. While many players move towards retirement at the age of 37, Shedley is going through the most memorable phase of his career. He has achieved another big feat by taking four wickets against Pakistan.

Earlier, Shedley had also taken four wickets against India in the opening match of the tournament. Now by taking four wickets each in two consecutive matches, he has become only the second bowler to do so in T20 World Cup history. Earlier in 2024, Fazalhaq Farooqui of Afghanistan had achieved this feat.

Shedley Van Schalkwyk was born in 1988 in Cape Town, South Africa. He played his initial cricket there, but later he shifted to America and made his debut for the US national team in 2024. He has played 13 ODI and 16 T20 international matches so far. He has 17 wickets in his name in ODI and 23 wickets in T20.
