Uterine Cancer: A new report has revealed that many women suffering from uterine cancer are not being properly examined by a genetic condition called Linch syndrome. This condition increases the risk of not only uterus, but also to intestinal cancer.

Lynch syndrome: severe but unseen danger

Lynch syndrome affects one of every 300 person, but surprisingly only 5% of people know about it. This is a genetic condition that makes the person more sensitive to cancer of the uterus and colon (large intestine).

Life can be found on time with time

Experts from the University of Edinburgh say that due to the timely identification of this syndrome, patients can improve their health and take necessary steps to prevent cancer. Also, the expenditure on treatment can also be reduced to a great extent.

Flaws of investigation system found in research

According to the research published in the BMG Oncology Journal, more than 2,500 uterine cancer cases were research in the UK and Ireland between 2022 and 2023. It was found that in 91% of cases, tumors were examined for symptoms of lynch syndrome, but the results of the investigation did not reach the entire team of doctors. As a result, the process of essential genetic counseling and blood test remained incomplete.

Incomplete procedure, incomplete identity

Of the patients who needed genetic counseling, only two-thirds were sent for this, and only 48% of the patients could be examined due to the long waiting list. The direct effect of this was that in many patients, lynch syndrome could not be identified and their risk of cancer was increased.

Awareness and better arrangement needed

Dr. Neel Ryan, Clinical Lecturer of Center for Reproductive Health, University of Edinburgh said, “Despite the good guidelines and check rates, the whole process becomes useless if the patients are not sent on time for a blood test. It is a big threat not only for the patient, but also for their family.

Researchers say that if it is identified on time, then measures such as aspirin, regular colonoscopy and hysterctomy can reduce the risk of cancer in the future to a great extent.

Early Signs of Uterine Cancer: Her health is most important in every woman’s life. But many times we become careless about ourselves, especially when the body gives small signs. The cancer of the uterus also grows silently. Initially its symptoms seem so modest that, we often ignore. But this negligence can turn into major illness later.

In today’s era, the cancer of the uterus is becoming a serious problem in women. Every year thousands of women are vulnerable to this disease. The good news is that, if its symptoms are identified in time, then treatment is possible and life can be saved. Therefore, know about those early symptoms that give you a signal, but you do not pay attention to that.

Irregular menstrual or unusual bleeding

If your menstrual cycle has suddenly changed, or bleeding in between, do not take it lightly. Bleeding after menopause is also a major sign. It is considered to be the most common symptom of cancer of the uterus.

Stomach pain

Pain in the lower abdomen or pelvic area is not normal. If this pain has been made for a long time or is increasing continuously, then it can also be a sign of cancer of the uterus.

Weight phenomenon and loss of appetite

If your weight is decreasing rapidly without any reason or loss of appetite, then it can also be a warning. When a serious disease flourishes in the body, it affects our hunger and weight.

Urine

If you feel frequent urination, burning sensation while urinating or changes in defecation, do not ignore it. These symptoms can be caused by pressure on the organs around the uterus.

Fatigue and weakness

When the body is fighting a serious disease, it feels tired and weakness again and again. If you stay tired all the time without any major reason, then be alert.
