UP CM Yogi Adityanath has given historical instructions to legally provide land ownership to the families settled in the state by displaced from East Pakistan (present -day Bangladesh). This decision is a big step towards social justice and respect for more than 10,000 families settled in Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bijnor and Rampur districts. Calling it a national responsibility, CM Yogi has instructed the officials to take time -bound action.

Explain that CM Yogi said in a high -level meeting that it is not only a matter of land transfer, but is an opportunity to honor the life struggle of thousands of families, who came to Uttar Pradesh after being displaced from East Pakistan after partition between 1960 and 1975. These families were settled in various villages and allotted agricultural land, but most families are deprived of landlord rights till date due to archival errors, land registered in the name of the forest department, and legal complications.

CM Yogi instructed the officials to treat these families with sensitivity and respect. He said that it is the moral responsibility of the government that these families should get the rights they have been entitled for decades.

What is the problem of displaced families,

• History of rehabilitation: Between 1960–1975, families from East Pakistan (existing Bangladesh) were settled through transit camps in Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bijnor and Rampur.
• Legal hurdles: The lack of names in revenue records, claim of forest department on land, and delay in the nomination process deprived these families of landlords.
• Current situation: Many families built permanent houses on the land, but their names are not recorded in the revenue records. In some cases, the problem of occupation without a legal process has also been revealed.

Timed and sensitive action

The Chief Minister instructed the officials that:

• Legal solution: New legal options should be discovered for cases where land was allotted under the Government Grant Act, as this Act has been canceled in 2018.
• Responsibility of District Magistrates: The DMs of all concerned districts were asked to take action to improve archial errors and provide landlords in a time bound manner.
• Sensitivity and respect: Human views should be adopted with displaced families, so that their dignity remains.

CM Yogi described this initiative as much more than rehabilitation. He said that it is a symbol of social justice, humanity and national responsibility. This effort will open the door to new hope and dignified life for neglected families for decades.

Thousands of families new beginnings

This decision of the Yogi government will not only provide economic stability and legal rights to the displaced families, but will also restore their social and emotional dignity. This can be a new beginning for thousands of families of Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bijnor and Rampur.

Up Primary Education, The Uttar Pradesh government has now decided to merge the government primary school with low student numbers. In this regard, a letter has been sent to the basic education officers of all the districts and ordered to take a decision by June 30. According to the letter, schools with less than 20 students are under this order.

Secretary Basic Education Council Surendra Kumar Tiwari has issued a letter to all the districts and directed. This decision is being told to improve the quality of studies and for the betterment of students. The letter states that the main objective of the council is to ensure better use of resources, decrease dropout rate, and quality education, which is considered necessary to deal with the quality of education in low enrollment schools and the problem of misuse of resources.

Data and Mapping Instructions

Under the School Maje Scheme, District Basic Education Officers have been instructed to identify and prepare databases of schools with low student numbers. After this, these schools will be mapping along with the nearest, better facilities and schools. Block Education Officers have been asked to visit the district officials by assessing terrestrial visit, reaching, enrollment, inclusion, and local conditions. Also, in this process, parents, teachers, teachers’ unions, and local community will communicate and take their consent and suggestions, so that the long -term benefits of merging can be clear.

At the same time, the council has ordered BSA to take guidance by coordinating with DM, CDO and concerned. After merging, integrated timetable for school operations will be created, and the obligations of teachers will be clearly determined. Resources of resources, safe maintenance, and proper use will also be ensured. In addition, there is a provision to set up feedback and grievance redressal cell in each district for grievance redressal and feedback, which will ensure soon.

On the other hand, the teachers union and education experts have started calling this order adverse to education and students. Some say that if the dropout is increasing continuously, if the school goes away, the parents will not send the children to school in view of security.

These families get benefit

The beneficiary must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh to take advantage under the National Family Benefit Scheme. Apart from this, the head of the family should die due to natural causes and the time of death should be between 18 years to 60 years. But in some special cases, benefits can be given even if there is suicide or death in an accident.

For this, the annual income of families living in urban areas is Rs 56450. So the annual income of families living in rural areas should not be more than Rs 46080. Along with this, the deceased should be a government job. The family should be below the BPL line. Only then will you get benefit.
