Uttarakhand government made a major administrative reshuffle late on Thursday evening and transferred 11 IAS and PCS officers. According to the order issued, responsibilities have been changed in many districts and departments. With the posting of new District Magistrate in Rudraprayag district, GMVN has also got a new Managing Director.

IAS Vishal Mishra has been appointed as the new District Magistrate of Rudraprayag. IAS Prateek Jain, who was posted here, has been made the Managing Director of Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN). Along with this, he has also been given the responsibility of Mission Director Jal Jeevan Mission, Director Namami Gange and Project Director KFW.

According to the order issued by the Personnel Department, the additional charge of Director Employment has been removed from Director Skill Development IAS Sanjay Kumar, while his other posts will remain the same.

IAS Saurabh Gaharwar has been given the responsibility of MD SIDCUL as well as Additional Secretary Industries and Director Government Press. IAS Narendra Singh Bhandari has been given the additional responsibility of Additional Chief Executive Officer and Director of Employment in Tourism Development Council along with Additional Secretary Planning. IAS Vinod Giri Goswami has been given the responsibility of Additional Secretary Urban Development as well as Additional Secretary Housing and Chief Executive Officer Bhagirathi Valley Development Authority.

Girdhari Singh Rawat got big responsibility

Many important changes have also been made in PCS officers. Girdhari Singh Rawat has been given the responsibility of Minority Welfare Department, Director Minority Welfare, Director Madrasa Education Council and Managing Director Minority Welfare Corporation along with Additional Secretary Personnel. Additional Secretary of Secretariat Service, Suresh Joshi, has been entrusted with the responsibility of census work with the Milk and Milk Development Department. Additional Secretary Kavindra Singh has been given the responsibility of Secretariat Administration, Sanskrit Education and Program Implementation Department.

Abz Prasad Vajpayee becomes City Magistrate Haldwani

PCS Trilok Singh Martolia has been removed from the post of Commissioner Cane Sugar and given the additional charge of Principal Manager Sugar Mill Kichha. Meanwhile, Abz Prasad Vajpayee has been removed from Kichha Sugar Mill and appointed as City Magistrate Haldwani. The deputation of Deputy Secretary Kamlesh Mehta in the State Election Commission has been terminated and he has been made Deputy Collector Tehri. This administrative reshuffle of the government is being considered an important step towards increasing efficiency in governance.
