Till now the record of hitting most sixes by an Indian batsman in an IPL season was in the name of Abhishek Sharma. Abhishek had hit a total of 42 sixes in IPL 2024. But now Vaibhav Suryavanshi has gone ahead of him, because till now he has hit 43 sixes in IPL 2026.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi (43) is at the forefront of hitting most sixes in the IPL 2026 season. Abhishek Sharma is in second place, who has hit 37 sixes so far. Ryan Rickleton of Mumbai Indians has also hit 37 sixes in the current season.

If we look at Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s short IPL career, till now he has scored 738 runs in 19 matches at an average of 38.84. 15 year old Vaibhav also has three half-centuries and 2 centuries to his name. These figures look even more impressive when you know that in his career of only 19 matches, he has hit 67 sixes and 61 fours. He has scored one century each in both the seasons played so far.
