बीते शुक्रवार बांग्लादेश के हाथों सेमीफाइनल मैच हारकर भारत एशिया कप राइजिंग स्टार्स टूर्नामेंट से बाहर हो गया था. मगर पूरे टूर्नामेंट में वैभव सूर्यवंशी का बल्ला आग उगलता रहा. 14 वर्षीय वैभव इस पूरे टूर्नामेंट में सबसे ज्यादा रन बनाने वाले बल्लेबाज रहे, उन्होंने सिर्फ 4 मैचों में 59.75 के औसत से 239 रन बनाए. लगातार दमदार बल्लेबाजी के कारण उन्हें टीम इंडिया में लाए जाने की अटकलें जोर पकड़ने लगी हैं.

सोशल मीडिया पर तो यह चर्चा तक शुरू हो गई है कि वैभव सूर्यवंशी और अभिषेक शर्मा टीम इंडिया के लिए ओपनिंग करें, तो विरोधी टीमों की सिट्टी-पिट्टी गुम हो जाएगी. कुछ ही दिनों में भारत बनाम दक्षिण अफ्रीका टी20 सीरीज शुरू होने वाली है. यह मांग भी उठने लगी है कि वैभव को दक्षिण अफ्रीका के खिलाफ टी20 सीरीज में मौका दिया जाना चाहिए. उन्हें टी20 टीम में कैसे फिट किया जाए, यह भी एक बड़ा सवाल है.

बेशक वैभव सूर्यवंशी बहुत बढ़िया बैटिंग कर रहे हैं और एक विस्फोटक ओपनिंग बल्लेबाज के रूप में पहचान बना चुके हैं. मगर टीम इंडिया में अभी सारे स्लॉट भरे हुए हैं. भारत की सीनियर टी20 टीम में अभिषेक शर्मा और शुभमन गिल ओपनिंग कर रहे हैं. सिर्फ उनकी ही नहीं, बल्कि टीम इंडिया में पहले पांच क्रम तो लगभग पक्के हैं. ऐसे में टीम मैनेजमेंट चाहे भी तो अभी वैभव सूर्यवंशी का डेब्यू नहीं करवा सकता.

32 गेंद में ठोका था शतक

वैभव सूर्यवंशी ने एशिया कप राइजिंग स्टार्स टूर्नामेंट में यूएई के खिलाफ 32 गेंद में शतक जड़ दिया था. उस पारी में उन्होंने 15 छक्के लगाने का कारनामा किया था. उस मैच में उन्होंने 42 गेंद खेलकर 144 रन बना दिए थे. निडर बैटिंग करते हुए वो टूर्नामेंट में सबसे ज्यादा रन बनाने वाले बल्लेबाज रहे. उन्होंने 4 मैचों में 239 रन बनाए.
