A 34 -year -old woman has alleged that her husband not only assaulted her, but also broke the relationship by saying ‘divorce’ thrice. The woman alleges that the incident is a link to her already ongoing domestic violence. After this matter came to light, the police has started action and the case is being investigated.

Husband’s violent behavior since marriage- police
Giving information on Tuesday, police officials said that an FIR has been registered in this case in Vasant Kunj (South) police station. The victim woman told the police that she was married on 12 October 2014 as per Muslim customs. Since marriage, the husband’s behavior has been violent and many times he has beat her up. This violence continued from time to time but this time the matter became serious, when the husband entered her flat with 2 unidentified women.

Three divorce given under conspiracy- victim
According to the statement recorded in the FIR, on May 26, the accused husband came into the flat with two women and threatened the woman. During this time, he admitted that he has a relationship with one woman and in the presence of another woman, she announced to break the marriage thrice and break the marriage. The victim says that all this was done deliberately and under the conspiracy. The woman sought help from the police with a sense of fear and insult and immediately started a legal process.

Case registered under these sections
The police have registered a case under Section 115 (2) (deliberately hurt), 351 (3) (criminal intimidation) and Muslim Women (Protection of Marriage Rights) Act in this case. Investigating officers are investigating all aspects of the case deeply. Police is also trying to find out whether the accused husband has already married a woman or not. Under the triple talaq law, it is a criminal case and if found guilty, the accused may be jailed.
