Maharashtra government has significantly reduced VAT on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF). The VAT which was earlier 18 percent has now been reduced to 7 percent. This cut of the state government has become effective from today i.e. Friday 15th May and will remain effective till next 14th November. What is the purpose?
The main objective of this reduction is to reduce the pressure on operational costs and air fares due to the ongoing crisis in West Asia. How many air travelers are there in Maharashtra?
