According to mythological and religious legend, Savitri who was the daughter of King Ashwapati and a princess. She was intelligent, courageous and religious. Savitri chose Satyavan, who lives an ascetic life, as her husband. Then one day Narada Muni appeared and he told Savitri that the Satyawan is a young age. So he should seek another groom for marriage. But Savitri’s mind had accepted Satyavan as her groom and so she remained adamant on her decision. Eventually Savitri was married to Satyavan.

Savitri started living in a forest after marriage with Satyavan and in -laws. Gradually, the time of Satyavan’s death also started getting closer. One day when Satyavan went to the forest to cut wood, then suddenly he had a headache and fell there and fell there. Savitri started caressing her husband’s head on her lap. Then Yamraj appeared there and started carrying Satyavan’s soul. Savitri also started following Yamraj. Yamraj stopped Savitri a lot but she did not listen.

Yamraj heard the three boon and said Aastastu.

Savitri told Yamraj that you have given me a boon to be the mother of a hundred daughter, who is not possible without Satyavan and I am a virtuous woman. Finally, Yamraj had to return Satyavan’s life due to being tied in the word. Savitri immediately ran and went to the banyan tree where the verification was unconscious. But Savitri saw that Satyavan became alive after the boon.

Satyavan revived with Savitri’s intelligence

In this way, Savitri’s intelligence, love and penance not only got new life to Satyavan, but also returned to the eyes of his mother-in-law and got lost Raj Pat. It is said that the day Satyavan was revived, the first day was the day of Jyeshtha Purnima.
