RCB Victory Parade Stampede: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday (June 8, 2025) claimed that he came to know about the stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium at 5.45 pm on June 4, the day the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) celebrated the IPL victory. His statement shows that he came to know about the incident only after the end of the ceremony in Vidhan Saudh. Chief Minister Chinnaswamy did not attend the program organized at the Stadium. However, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar was involved in the ceremony.

MN Cariaswana wrote a letter regarding security

His remarks came a day after a letter written by MN Kariyaswana, the security officer of Vidhan Saudh, in which there was concern for security to organize the program outside the assembly.
