Actor-turned-politician Vijay Thalapathy’s party TVK has entered the electoral fray for the first time and has changed the political atmosphere as soon as it comes. If we talk about vote percentage, the DMK alliance is expected to get around 40.1 percent votes, due to which it seems to be at the forefront. Whereas the alliance of AIADMK and BJP can get about 29 percent votes. The most interesting thing is that TVK, which is contesting elections for the first time, is expected to get about 23.9 percent votes. This is considered a huge figure for a new party and it shows that this party is getting good support among the people. TVK may be lagging behind in terms of seats in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, but with its arrival the electoral contest has become more interesting and this party can play a bigger role in the times to come.

When will elections be held in Tamil Nadu?

Voting will be held in Tamil Nadu on 23 April. Elections will be held on all 234 assembly seats in the state, where all the major parties have contested for power. The tenure of Tamil Nadu Assembly is till May 10, so the new government will be elected before that. If we talk about voters, there are total about 5.6 crore voters in Tamil Nadu. These include approximately 2.7 crore male and 2.8 crore female voters. Apart from this, there are also 7617 third gender voters who will participate in this election. It is clear from these figures that this election is going to be big and important, in which crores of people will use their votes to elect a new government.
